Is Cotton glove really necessary? I am still waiting for TCP's invoice to drop.

No. I'd just keep a microfiber cloth handy and a mix of 90/10 distilled water/alcohol in a spritzer bottle to get a light spray and wipe every so often. I didn't find GX-71 to be a smudge/print magnet like some of the Art Storm and Max Gokin line items which use mostly diecast shells and a car-type paint job.

Alright so the full breakdown article and gallery is up for Titan Power TP-01 King of Beasts; Link in signature

    Overall I gave it a 7.0/10 and even though the article breaks it down in long form here's a quote of the summary I gave at the end;

"To summarize the above score; it's an easy 8-8.5/10 product with a fantastic look and general design dragged by shitty presentation/packaging and battery compartments that you truly feel like you may break or damage just trying to change or remove. Things like that and the general knowledge that it's a stolen stylization really put a negative aire over it when they all start adding up."

Here are a few pictures from the gallery portion (16 pics total;)

That just means it'll be handed over to the USPS on Friday, who'll deliver it on Saturday. Smartpost has always delivered on Saturday because of this.

They might be talking next Saturday, not this week's, then. It's not impossible for them to move it that fast, but generally, you need Ground/Home Delivery shipping to get that kind of speed. I'd doublecheck your tracking so you don't get your hopes up unnecessarily. Don't get me wrong, they have all day today to get to your location and they can indeed do that, I'm pullin' for ya, I'm just pragmatic.

Not necessary, but I think it will be worthwhile to use them. By the time you get the lions ready to combine, there's bound to be some fingerprints that you missed on the parts of the legs that are folded up against each other. From what I've read, this will cause the finish to become dull over time. I'm not one to change poses on my figures, so once I get him set up, that's how he'll stay, so I want to keep everything as clean as possible.

Mine finally shipped from BBTS yesterday...says delivery is expected tomorrow. Tracking says it left Minnesota early this morning, so it should arrive at my local FedEx facility tonight (northern Kentucky). But, I have my doubts that they will be able to hand it off to USPS in time for a Saturday delivery. Have you guys ever had any luck picking up a Smartpost package at your local post office?

I have a 50/50 experience with it. To get it tomorrow, the following all must happen:

-Truck gets to the PO early.
-Someone breaks down the pallet it's on.
-If pallet isn't broken down, package must be large enough that it's off to the side on its own.
-Someone at the PO is willing to go in the back and actually fetch it.

Usually, trucks get there around 2:30-3:30 pm window but the PO closes at 12, some branches 1.
If it does come early, chances are no one will work the pallet.

If there's a note stating that it must be delivered tomorrow, then someone will have to dig it out and get it ready for pickup or delivery before noon. I haven't used SP in months, so I can't tell you if they've changed anything or not.

Worst case scenario, you head to the PO around 11:30a if the tracking doesn't say "Out For Delivery" and see if someone will go look. Your presence being there is more of a lit match under the butt than the phone call they can ghost you on.

Mailman delivered the package a little before I got home for my lunch break. They usually deliver my stuff late at the end of their route, so this guy must be new.

Theres only one song that perfectly captures the majesty and glory of the SOC Voltron:

Thanks man. If it doesn’t indicate out for delivery tomorrow morning, I might hit the PO and see if they can dig it up. Getting him this weekend would be a nice surprise.

Smartposts always delivers weekends; Smartpost ends with them handing it off to your local USPS who delivers around their normal schedule. It's Fedex direct that's the screwy no delivery on Saturdays or Mondays or whatever.

    ---------------------

The first SOC reissue comes Monday... hyped to re explore this piece and especially hyped to give it a showdown with Titan Power King of Beasts.
