He's a hit at work and pulls an impressive sit down pose.

Love me a transformer that can sit down.

Can't wait for the rest to be released! Swindle is next, maybe Onslaught will follow shortly?

He has been at several showings at various cons. It would be odd if he was the last one released at this point. We haven't even seen a proto of Brawl.

There is a ton of personality that comes through from Impetus as the last couple of pics really show off. Super animated and alive. 10/10 in my books.

This picture here actually is the first one to really make me like Impetus. For some reason I've just not been feeling it, despite being a super Bruticus fan. I'm hoping it will fade when I eventually get him though.

You can't be serious. Zeta's toys are objectively some of the least accurate versions of the characters to ever exist they take so many strong liberties and barely match general mp aesthetics.

I'm talking about combined form, Lazy. I think I've made that clear. Zeta's individual bot modes are pants, we all agree about that.

    This.

Everyone is free to display figures however we wish and with whatever other products we wish, but when statements become irrational, that's where there's going to be disagreement. People are welcome to think that Assaultus is "big and huge" and good enough for their personal needs, though one might draw the line at the claim that that perspective is the norm and that it's just you and me desiring more scale consistency in a masterpiece collection.

It's fundamentally more natural for people to prefer consistency across similar types of products they intend to display together, and to be capable of recognizing which products are actually intended to fit within a particular series (like masterpiece), which products aren't (like GT, TFC, Warbo, HasTak, etc), and which products might intend to be part of it, have team members that scale with it, and have a plausibly similar aesthetic overall, but when in combined mode happen to be sized more with smaller products that don't fit within the series.

Oh it's never been about them all being the "exact same size". "Slightly different" is the variances within the combiners from Toyworld, Zeta, FT, DX9, and (possibly but not yet certain) XTB. There are many small variances even among the Zeta and Toyworld combiners. The key is that despite the variances they still look like they're all from the same scale and series, not completely different scales belonging to entirely different lines, which is what we get when comparing UT's Bruticus next to Zeta's, and Assaultus is likely to appear even more different in size next to it, considering the more slender arm and smaller hand shown in direct comparison to the same arm from both UT and Zeta.

It is what it is. As long as we're not living in denial of that, it's all good. It's a cool engineering feat and a nice design overall with great coloration and will work in plenty of non-standard collection displays, as well as the individual bots or altmode team members fitting very well in MP displays. There's no need to become irrational and try convince ourselves that clearly non-MP products like CW, PotP, TFC, Warbotron, GT, et al are "MP" when they objectively aren't, as a means to justify Assaultus's smaller stature. Assaultus doesn't need that sort of misguided "help", he can stand on his own merits.

I think the defensiveness exhibited by a couple folks comes from taking the size observations personally (why? no idea) or the fact that going for an all-in-one design unavoidably involved tradeoffs, one of which is combined mode scale, and that upsets folks that wanted their cake and to eat it too in that regard. The unfortunate reality of physics and engineering even in 2019 is that it's not yet possible to pull that off (at least not within allowable market pricing), so we have to accept tradeoffs. Either we relax the AIO requirement and accept smart partsforming engineering like Toyworld pioneered to achieve the best of all worlds for the combined form, or we accept that the combined form is only going to be large enough to scale properly with smaller, non-MP combiners. Can it pass for an MP combiner? Sure, especially if you don't have any of the full MP size combiners. But for someone with an MP collection that does include combiners, it becomes a choice between having a collection that looks cohesive and one where the play gimmicks outweigh the static display appearance. In general, there is no right or wrong there, just preferences, and it's nice that we have options to satisfy both camps.

Zeta's Vortex having one of the most iconic Bayformer's look/alt-mode is the exact opposite of the G1 MP aesthetic.

Yes of course. The discussion was about combined mode, not team members. How many times saying this before it sticks?

Yeah but Zeta's Vortex is like bayformers alt mode and the exact opposite of the G1 MP aesthetic...

And their Swindle turns into a Humvee!

Updoot for stating the obvious. :D

And then there's all those chug combiners someone listed that don't even try to look like G1 MP and bear essentially no resemblance at all, which was the other category of combiners they apparently were considering for display alongside Assaultus. Clearly Assaultus is aiming for G1 MP. Unfortunately it comes up short of the other MP combiners. There, the context of the comment you quoted has been reestablished for you.

To me, combiners can come in all the sizes they want, combiners being the "same size" is quite boring... As long as they doesn't partsform too much they can be gigantic or small.

This Bruticus is going to be displayed with the rest of my MP figures. Currently Ragnaros is being displayed with my MP figures, I think I am going to display him with Assaultus too, Armageddon will go to storage...

I just don’t know why you’re putting so much energy and effort into this thread when for the most part you’re just repeatedly saying that these are not big enough in combined mode to be MP scale. I totally appreciate that this is your opinion and you have an absolute right to state it, but I think your point has been made several times already. If some of us disagree or don’t care that’s our choice. You’re not going to convince us and those of us who disagree with you are not going to convince you either. So can we let it go?
