The prime itself is the best by far but the trailer does leave a bit to be desired

You know how toy companies put out a version of a toy that they know we will get, then follow it up with the one we always wanted but didn't know was coming when we got the first one, in the hopes we'll double-dip? Yeah, that actually DIDN'T happen this time. They announced the trailer prime at the same time as 32. It's not their fault if people were too impatient to wait for the version they actually wanted

 

I picked him up from Amazon already. I like him overall, even if he could use a few more paint apps. They actually added some pins in the panels on his back so that they don't pop off anymore, which is a welcome change. And the trailer tabs together pretty well, too. Not a super premium sort of figure, but he does everything he's supposed to well.

 

I so want this figure, but do I REALLY need a THIRD Optimus Prime in this mold? Also, the lack of paint or paint apps on the trailer concerns me, because do I really want to spend Leader Class prices on a half-assed figure? I might get it when it gets discounted to under the Voyager Class price point. Until then, it\'s a pass! I hope Reprolabels will release a decent sticker pack for this.

For a moment I thought it was the old good leader class not the SS "leader" class.

 

I'll give in and will say this prime is OK, but like you said the trailer really sucks! I hope 3rd party can turn this around.

 

Well in the ROTF movie only Jetfire made his appearance and combined with that version of Prime, not the DOTM version. I understand about having the extra piece to combined with All Primes, but I see there needs to be limitations. You know some people follow the each versions per movie.

And no need to discredited my intelligence and everyone is entitle their opinion...

Just to throw this out there: The upside of SS44 is that if you wait a month or so, odds are pretty good some places will put him on sale for $30-40. Pretty much like every other SS Leader has been at some point.

And then, if you hadn't already bought SS32, you could likely get that PLUS the trailer for the cost of a Voyager. Enjoy.

 

All of the weapons scale better with the deluxe class Optimus released during DotM. I'm using the sword and shield from FWI and the blaster and ax from Dr Wu. I hope a 3rd party makes some gap fillers for the jet pack, they seem to be a popular trend lately.
