Yeah, seeing Reed, Stark, Pym and McCoy work together would be cool and there are many ways to do it. Tying a character to an actor is equivalent to sticking with one artist forever. There is absolutely no need to do that, especially in a comic based universe.
That Iron Man mold has the worst hip range of motion of all the movie armors and it doesn't even use the 45 degree hips surprisingly! Damn shame since it was used in neat scenes. I have my Civil War one aiming it's palm blasts at its eyes because the hips are so bad. I think it's inevitable also. Seems like in recent years, once they've established a main buck per iconic character, they start making nearly all the relevant versions of said character on that buck. Like pizza spidey used for most Spideys since 2015, 2016 Wolverine for Wolverines, 2013 Cyclops for other Cyclopsi, et al. That vintage Wolverine in the brighter colors matches so well with that setup! Looks like they Toy Biz wave 1 head on 80th cap and a wire hangar stand under Iron Man's armpits Definitely not nobodies. The amount of cartoons and movies for the Xmen alone compared to the F4 attest to that.
It's a repainted series 1 Toybiz Captain America head. And the black things are the arms of the flight stand that I made
Well they both look great! Your display is lovely. I mainly collect MCU figures but I had to make an exception for the 80th trinity. They look fantastic among the others though!
I don't know about all that. Avengers had some dust on them but in the fiction they were always viewed as the big league, premier superhero team. Never considered nobodies. X-Men looked up to them.
Every costume is somebody's favorite. I guess the only reason there are ones I don't want to see is because it decreases the chances of seeing another version anytime soon. So put me down for 'all the Jim Lee X-Men,' lol. I guess the real unpopular one I have is Excalibur Rachel. I'd rather see the Marvel Now suit, or if we really had to have one from that era, her Excalibur casual wear, with the shoulder pads and micro mini skirt. I think the easy answer is that by the time they actually start working on the next Spider-Man movie he'll already be back in the MCU. I'd like to believe that Mr. Coffee is from the same Mr. Hobby brand that makes all the paints and modeling tools, and that they made a fully functional coffee maker just for hobbyists.
Just because Marvel gave them a moniker doesn't make them more popular. I've been reading comics for a loooooong time and I've picked up many, many FF comics and tried but failed to ever find them particularly interesting as a group. Individually I think is where they shine. Thing is more interesting when he teams up with the Avengers. Johnny on his own is interesting. Reed and Sue's most memorable stories IMO are when they turned evil - and that says something. The most interesting characters in the FF world are their villains to me. You know, I thought the same thing at first then I realized it's probably for the best. Tony and Reed both existing in the MCU would be a story breaker because they're too damn smart individually but together everyone would be asking why they don't just work together every time to build a thingamajig or a watchmacallit to solve the problem.
Yeah. If I didnt pay $8 at DD's for the set, I wouldnt have gotten it. The armor is a brick and, the SM feels lazy.
And just because they aren’t currently the most popular doesn’t mean they aren’t the premier team of Marvel. We talk about this all the time here and it’s fine to have personal preference and other teams or characters take the spotlight but in the end FF, Spidey and Cap are the faces of Marvel. In no way does that make everyone else “nobodies” (which was not my words), they are all just 2nd tier when compared to the big three.
Heroes Reborn. Ugh. Not to pick on this post in particular, but I'll be honest, in all the decades that I've read comics, and all the reprints and older runs I've read, I've never enjoyed the Fantastic Four. Add in the crap movies (and that cartoon with HERBIE) and I don't really see them as a valuable part of the IP. Doom and the other villains and ideas, absolutely. Even the interaction with other heroes. But the four themselves? Pass. I'm sure Fiege can make them work and I have no doubt that they'll do just that. I would rather have an "Infamous Doom" then a Fantastic Four movie, to be totally honest. Introduce MCU Doom by having him "fill in" for Iron Man.
Which 80th Anniversary Hulk's is everyone going to use for their display? Right now I'm hoping to catch the SDCC Hulk when he goes up for order and use him. I want to get the two pack version but at 60 dollars, like the other two packs, I'd wait for the pack to go on sale due to other things coming out I need to prioritize. And on another note, decided to pick up 80th Iron Man & Thor last night but instead of spending almost 50 dollars on the both of them I instead found G1 Soundwave. Decided to go for the rarer Walmart exclusive item over two figures I can get anywhere and maybe on sale at a later date.
All good @Pravus Prime , personal preference is a great thing. I’m sure many kids today would rather watch Frozen than Mickey Mouse but Mickey is still the face of Disney. My favorite of the crew is the Thing. Out of the new Hulks, I’ll probably use the 2 pack and now that we know about the grey one, I’ll probably use that too. I have space for at least three or more Hulks in my main display and I’ll take more for other displays and options. Really want Fixit and Planet Hulk versions.
Wait, are we talking about in universe or in publishing? Because you say their the face of Marvel which makes me think you're talking about them from a publishing and marketing standpoint. You even refer to Marvel giving the FF the title of "Marvel’s First Family" which is a publishing thing but then you refer to the X-Men being known as Feared and Hated Stepchildren which is an in-universe thing.
Hasbro Pulse on Instagram: “#MarvelLegends is coming to #FANEXPOCanada! Don't miss the Hasbro Marvel Panel on Friday 8/23 at 2:00PM EST in Room 705.”
The meaning is more literal than that, FF#1 was the starting point and the Marvel universe spread out from there. Spider-Man was friends with the human torch and had a chance to join the Fantastic Four. Those beats have already played out in the MCU. There is a movie forum for this topic anyway.
