So people are bullshitting by saying they think the asking price is just a bit too much, the price is fine, but you wouldn't pay that price because you don't trust Hasbro to produce it as a good quality figure worth the price...

    No offense, but- LOL.

I completely agree. It wasn't all that long ago that deluxes cost $8 to $10, and now we're paying around $20. It's all a matter of perspective. Nothing will ever be equal to what everyone wants to pay or what they think it should cost. At the end of the day it should come down to "does this make me happy?", because if it does, it's worth it.

I think this will make it to production and given the production run, weight and size, I'm surprised it won't cost more. I'm not justifying the price, just saying given what it is and what went into it, I expected it to cost more.

With that said, I haven't backed it and am still undecided. I think it'll be a great centerpiece for years to come and a toy worthy of respect. I'm surprised something like this was even considered given how much has changed in the past 10 years.

Sure some have said it can stand on its own in robot mode sans stand but should it? I'd be nervous about even displaying it on the stand in planet mode.

I've bought fairly large toys before and came to realize that while they're definitely cool, I've got my limits and sometimes it can hamper playability. Swooshing a giant flying robot around is fun but if it's fairly heavy and takes up a lot of space.... maybe it's more fun on paper than in actuality.

Anyways hope this makes it to production as it's definitely a highlight for this decade.

No, I don't. Too many of my mainline stuff has been floppy messes. I'm sorry if you can't read but I said the price is in line with their retail offerings (a huge, bigger then "Titan sized" transformer but made is a very small quantity). If the quality is there then it's worth the price, I would easily pay that price for this IF I KNEW THE QUALITY WAS EQUAL. I don't see what's to "LOL" about that, seems perfectly reasonable.

I'd be fine with the price is it was available to me in Australia.
I'm not bothered by the transformation because its a giant sphere that turns into a robot.
The back kibbles a bit much but frankly no worse than many an MP, including the overpriced MP-44.
And this is doing a hell of a lot with the transformation.
Plus that massive planet mode just looks amazing.

I really just want someone to take this and smooth out all the greebles. I really can't even consider this given the surface aesthetics. Lighten up on the "Borg Cube" surface finish and this would be aces, and I'd be willing to pay for freight-forwarding to get it. As is? Sadly no.

I like how when he comes out of planet mode his horns are hanging down past his face. He looks like a lop-eared rabbit!

    You
You wish that was what you said maybe, but alas, you did not. The way you just elaborated made more sense, but it isn't what ya said. ;)
I know this because it turns out I can in fact read.

I didn't think it needed to be spelled out because, you know, we are on a TF board and we all buy TF figures and the biggest complaint of the last, at least, six years has been inconsistent quality. I didn't think I had to spell that out for someone on a tf board that has been around longer then five years and has handled product from the last five years. Maybe reading comprehension has failed you this, I don't know.

Well it’s not like he designed the figure or something... oh wait. Snap. Maybe it’s his sunglasses?

    [IMG] :D

Holy-stacked Pringles backpacks Batman. With all those swiveling ratcheted extension arms and big thin stacked plastic panels... that sh!t all gonna break. Just sayin.

And the whole transformation looks like... what’s that word for the opposite of fun... not relaxing... not enjoyable... ummm... work! That’s it. Too much work.

To add to that, Generation Y is the generation that is typically described when people talk about millennials and millennials kind of have a distinction of 2 sub generations, those that were children pre internet prominence (born in 80s) and those who don’t remember a time without the internet (born in 90s)

    As always people be ignorant.

It's an unpainted resin prototype. What the hell do you expect?

Not a single bit of struggling to be delicate when handling a fragil toy 19 lb. 27 inch tall figure?

You people continue to astound me with your logic. :lol

I'm surprised at all the concern about transforming this. Looks pretty straightforward. Apparently no one ever tried transforming (or breaking) a FT Rouge before or MP-05 Meggies before... now those royally suck.

After the campaign ends, succeed or fail, can we stake this thread through the heart?

Nope, it'll live on in infamy. People will keep it going in the hopes Hasbro will see it and find some way to make the "dream" come true.

I can see your concerned however warden really seems to put everything and tryed his best to mention that they are using better materials as they had to for all of the pannels. If they given use longer I would have gotten it but it looks like it is doomed
