Yea, slow shipping didn’t really bother me as I don’t need stuff right now, but it does hurt when you wait 10 business days for a package, then fedex updates that the package was damaged and undeliverable, and are now at 2+ weeks waiting for them to either ship me what broken pieces are left or for them to RTV it back to BBTS.

My SOC Voltron shipped out in one day, though it was the only thing I shipped in that order.

Devil's advocate, they've had some solid sales for their anniversary. But generally, I've leaned towards using them less. They're slow getting Iron Factory stuff (by far my favorite third party toy line), and MPs are always MIA when everyone else has them. Domestic/US and Europe slowness can probably be blamed on Western distribution, but MPs being imported directly from Asia, I'm not sure where the fault lies. 'Tis why I placed my MP-44 order with TFS: They'll probably get it the week after its Japanese launch and ship it quickly. Also because I wanted to pay him off in full - an option I wish BBTS offered, given how especially for $100+ stuff, planning ahead can be dicey concerning the budget.

And as you mentioned, they really need a loyalty program and the option for free or reduced shipping on orders over $150.

Worst part, they even state they aren't planning on having such a service for the time being.

As someone who is just getting into collecting, the older inventory stuff has been terrific. I'd never say no to free shipping, but $4 is pretty reasonable, especially with the PoL. I'm super new, so I certainly concede those of you who are long-time collectors have very legitimate issues, but so far they're my favorite of the stores and the only one I've purchased from other than Amazon.jp. (and Amazon.com and Kickin toys and Walmart)

Got 10 day notices for Dropkick and Hightower the other day. But today only Dropkick processed. Hightower is still on pre-order status.

$4.00 is reasonable, no doubt, but it takes forever for them to ship it most times and once it does, it CRAWLS across the land in an effort to save as much friggin' money as possible. It's a shame they don't use UPS SmartPost. For $3.50 on the user's end, it can be upgraded to Ground if you're a UPS My Choice member. (Free to sign up. Only costs money if you want advanced features.)

The problem is, BBTS is not trying to compete in a world full of Amazons and Walmarts. When TCP, TFS, Toy Dojo all over free shipping past a certain threshold (heck, even Agabyss does!) BBTS loses on that alone. Plus they have order stashing systems like BBTS's POL AND they reward you for purchases that you can use towards future orders. BBTS just isn't what it used to be and they seem to revel in it.

Which is aggravating because I was told 2 years ago by customer service reps that they were implementing a loyalty program

It is a shame they used to be very good, I will give them that, but currently I can’t give them a positive review.

Also not to mention how they handled their whole state tax issue.

I let them know when I was on the phone with them that I would be letting people know about these problems I have had with them, they didn’t care, there was no well sir what can we do to keep your business we value you as a customer and don’t want to lose you.
So this is what happens instead.

I’m gonna have to go ahead and switch out my preorders to tfsource or toydojo.

Does toydojo charge preorders when they get in stock or when you preorder?
Also can you cancel a preorder before it gets in stock?

I’m familiar with how tfsource handles their preorders as I called them and they explained it to me.

Only place I could find SDCC Fortress Maximus for a decent price, at this point considering getting the non SDCC.
“August” is the expected pre order

What is the problem with the “state tax issue?” They’re required to charge it now, unless you’re referring to something beyond that.

The problem is that "customer service" is being redefined solely as "super cheap prices." They do a hundred other things well but charging $4 for shipping is a sin against nature. People will drive over and over to a barren Walmart hoping to snatch a damaged leftover for pennies off but complain about $4 shipping. That's fucking insane.

People wonder why TRU couldn't stand up to Amazon? No matter what they did, they couldn't undercut a billionaire running losses on somebody else's money. And that's all that matters in the end. People can talk about service all they like but it'll never trump price.

There are legitimate complaints to be made but all I ever see is complaining about how slow the super thrifty bargain saver shipping is or Hasbro being slow to deliver orders which is somehow their fault.

BBTS' economy shipping is slow, that's the issue people have. On TFS, TCP, TD, etc, the economy shipping is free after $150 and faster shipping is pretty cheap still. They also DO get stuff slower nowadays - if I wanted La Hire/Not Rod, which I probably will come Friday, I can snatch him from TFS, TCP, and probably other sites. BBTS? Nope, but they have a shit ton of new Funko Pops, oh boy!

I get it, shipping is an extra expense for [seller]. And as much as I love, say, Amazon (please no debates on their practices here), I understand that even though 2-day shipping comes at the cost of $99 a year, at least I use them enough to justify it. Plus I get tons of movies for free too.

And US sellers typically charge 10-15% more on the Japanese MSRP of MPs as a general rule it seems, do the etailers not get any of that extra percent as a kickback or what?

No one is blaming them for the speed of the shipping method itself (if they are, they're misinformed or borderline dumb) or that Hasbro is screwing them.

    It's the following:
-Their customer service has been dropping in quality, plenty of negative reviews have popped up.
-They don't innovate, at all. Nor do they update.
-They offer nothing in the way of customer perks, and they've even raised their prices.

CS should be top notch. Not every customer is honest and they can indeed be problematic, but complaints are starting to pop up across the board. Even employees can't get benefits. (Read Glassdoor).

A website update that actually makes it harder to navigate at first, having trouble tracking your orders, etc, not an upgrade or update, IMO.

No perks. When smaller stores like TCP, Agabyss, and Toy Dojo can offer either same or lower prices, plus free shipping and freebies in the future...

There's nothing overwhelmingly selling me, or anyone else, on BBTS in this day and age. You can blame Amazon for a lot of things, but not this one. Jeff Bezos doesn't give a crap about some little garage shop turned warehouse seller.

I do, actually. They tend to have stuff sooner than other places, this year and last. Guess I'm just crazy.
