I’m just thinking about the strange but highly unlikeable thing to happen. If Tony Stark comes back would be be like where is Peter? The rest of the avengers would be like who?

Sony is useless, never make better movies the new spider-man movies are great because of the partnership with Marvel/Disney.

Then why is everyone still saying Spider-Man 2 is the greatest super hero movie of all time? Oh, and then there's Spider-Verse.

They should have Deadpool show up in the MCU with a bunch of circles around his mask introducing himself has the man spider dude. Then get hit by a bus. Show back up instantly as regular looking Deadpool and say oh no he died, well let’s more on.

Some new "insights" from The Hollywood Reporter...

'Spider-Man' Standoff: Why Sony Thinks It Doesn't Need "Kevin's Playbook" Anymore

    Snippet overview...

"...Everything boils down to money with these big studios, and Disney simply wanted a bigger piece of the pie when Far From Home proved to be so successful - although this report does claim that Disney was looking for "at least" a 30 percent stake, not 50.

On Sony's part, it's said that studio chief Tom Rothman believes the success of Venom and Into The Spider-Verse means they've "learned everything we need to from Kevin’s playbook" and are ready to forge ahead with Marvel-less Spider-Man projects.

It doesn't look like either side is willing to budge right now, but all may not be lost. Insiders believe that this is a "lose-lose for everybody" involved, and with so much money to be made, Disney/Marvel and Sony will come to some king of agreement... eventually."

    NO.

They barely read the table of contents with Venom. And ITSV was only so good because Rothman tossed the playbook aside and Lord & Miller decided to speed read it. Actually, I’d argue they had their own playbook ages ago.

    I f*cking hate Tom Rothman.

If Sony had to buy Marvel, Holland wouldn't be spider-man and the movies would be totally disaster.

Interesting that the report was saying Disney was looking for 30% not 50%.

Also, learned everything they needed to? Like fucking what? Spider-verse was an animated movie, and doesn't have the same hindrances that a live action film does.

And Venom only did well cause of Tom Hardy and nothing more. His acting was honestly the best part of the film. Venom looked cool, and interacted well with him, but everything surrounding them was your typical Sony "we are trying guys" bullshit.

I really do hope an agreement is struck, if nothing else, for Tom's sake, if you have watched interviews with him, especially on the British tv show "The Graham Norton Show" you know that this is literally his dream role, and it absolutely sucks that he may not be a part of it anymore.

Sony will never buy Marvel, ever. Not even remotely possible. Unless you mean Marvel buys Sony. But that’s also impossible, because then Disney would practically become a monopoly and that’s illegal in the United States

I'm certain that the inevitable bomb of that already fucking terrible Morbius solo movie starring 30 Seconds to Leto will shake a LOT of this newfound confidence that Sony/Rothman seemingly have.

Hopefully Marvel can/will use that to their advantage when the time is right, because as it is now, Sony really do have them over a barrel with this. Either they play ball or Spidey is suddenly out of the MCU... and there's just no practical, logical or realistic way in hell Marvel can or will let that happen. Not at this stage.

Gotcha. Then yes I agree completely, Homecoming and FFH wouldn’t exist and whatever took their place would be as bad as ASM2 lol. Into the Spider-verse is perfection but that might just be a testament to how great those guys are.

Learned everything you need to know, Tom? Really? Guess what... You forged a new Spidey universe playing ball with Disney/Marvel. One that requires their characters, their locations, you can't use any of that and none of the sequels will be able to line up. (Or live up, for that matter.)

You're a greedy moron. I think you move from studio to studio as a leech, bleed 'em dry, and move on.

They'll figure you out one day and get rid of you. Prick.

I keep seeing this being said, but I found the movie to be ok at best.

I liked it better than okay, but yeah, I pretty much agree with this assessment. It's fun, but it ain't Spidey I'd throw down a bunch of money for.

Please let Spider-Man be his own hero again. Spider-Man has always been my absolute favorite. The 90's Spider-Man Animated Series was the best. I can't wait for Adult Peter Parker again! Hopefully like Spider-Man PS4, and to some extent Into The Spiderverse. Morbius first trailer hopefully soon. Would be cool to see Doc Oc, The Lizard, Green Goblin, Rhino, Sandman, Vulture again. With Scorpion hopefully suiting up in "Iron Boy?" 3. Hopefully, they recast Aunt May as someone older, the one from Raimi trilogy is my favorite. :D  Finally Spider-Man will be Spider-Man again. And not Iron Boy. :p  Still feel sick from that disgrace. Holland is a good actor. :D  Harry Osborn friendship. Hopefully, it won't be like Spider-Man 1 and 2, where they were only friends for 1 movie. Hopefully, at least 2-3 movies without becoming enemies, so the betrayal is real. Aw, man, I feel like a kid again.

Uncle Ben, I've missed you. "With great power, comes great responsibility.". It's not Spider-Man without Uncle Ben that's why MCU Spider-Man never worked for me. It's like he doesn't even exist. WTH Fiege? If people were tired of seeing Uncle Ben death, they didn't even have to show it. Just have Peter(Holland) look at a photo of the three of them, and we hear a gunshot, Peter sheds a tear. It was that simple Kevin, geez, but no Tony Stark is way cooler than Uncle Ben...yuck...I do like MCU Tony Stark...I just don't like the mentor/mentee relationship, maybe with Hardy's Brock might work, I don't know yet. Now that's Spider-Man's back the only MCU movies I need to watch are Doctor Strange and Black Panther 2, Fantastic Four, and maybe Blade, hopefully, Falcon and WandaVision will come out on DVD because I am not spending money on Disney+. Not enough interest when I have DVDs of the MCU and Star Wars.

Oh, I just thought what if they made Raimi Spider-Man 4, The Amazing Spider-Man 3, and have it as Multiverse with Holland. I'm so excited the possibilities are endless, what a time to be a Spider-Man fan. Spider-Man PS4 sequel, Spider-Man V.S. Venom hopefully after :D :D :D
