I'm the same, and only collect MP. I've legitimately have decided to sell UW Devastator because titan is too small for an MP collection, when you're looking at combined mode next to FT Phoenix and others like MP Ultra Magnus etc.

However, the thing that keeps me wavering is that, CHUG or not, I don't see a bigger one ever getting made, HasTak or 3P, and the only figure I can ever see touching this overall height is a 3P Metroplex or Trypticon. This means Unicron will always be the biggest figure in my collection, and at worst I'd put him in planet mode to just look impressive!

Let's face it, an MP version is out of the question and 3P is unlikely. Yes, I've seen Zeta, but I just don't know if I want to miss this based on the reveal of a limb shot...

I'm watching the order numbers as the time ticks down. We still have a ways to go, but I am still a big supporter. I think we may see some impressive movement on the order numbers between now and the deadline.

    I hear ya.

Even if this was 3ft, 4ft, even 5ft. It wouldn't even be enjoyable at that point. I'd be either a ginormous ball or manniquin in my man cave. How often would I personally transform it at that size? Prob once.

The size is good. I can't complain about that.

Yep. Plus I expect haslab to be doing media promotions for the next five to seven days. It’s going to be a long week and a wild ride

I reallllllly hope you are correct here man. I wasn't around for the sail barge so I didn't see how it went towards the end but I have to admit I'm worried.
I had to sell figures I liked in order to back this so if it doesn't get made that's a big disappointment.

City bots are always going to be out of scale with CHUG or MP collections.
Honestly, there's just no way to make it work, based on how the media portrayed them.
Unless maybe Hasbro started doing a Legends scale based line like some of the third parties.
Gestalts, too, come to think of it.

    Classics
    Henkei
    Universe
    Generations
    Seige
While we're at it everyone stop saying 3P, MP, and KO too! Goddamn Fandom jargon!

I have been gaga over Siege since it was revealed last year, like ALL of it.....and it took ME until 5 minutes ago to back this monstrosity. If nothing else I couldn't live with myself being a huge Transformers fan then not supporting its first ever Crowdfunding campaign. This guy is amazing looking, I may be in the minority but actually prefer the planet mode. It's a centerpiece for sure.

So.....if it took me this long to pledge my funds I figure there are other collectors out there too who are waiting. You never know, but I do think it's poor planning releasing the most expensive and likely best ever MP Optimus around the same time as the first ever crowdfunding project. Paying $625 for a massive robot is asking a lot as is asking north of $400 for another Prime. But asking fans to do BOTH??? That's tough. And Prime is essential for MP collectors. If this fails we will look back and cite that as the reason.

yeah, no way to scale with Citybots either. But at the risk of sounding hypocritical, they're only about $150 a pop so I don't mind as much getting them. I also use the excuse they scale to the toys that I had as a child. yeah, that's it....

except prime isnt really all that essential, considering this is the third mold theyve done for the character as a masterpiece

I guess that depends on taste. In a modern G1 MP shelf, with the likes of MP36, I think some may consider the new Optimus essential because MP10 looks ridiculous alongside such cartoon-styled toys.

To you, to me a better MP Prime is far more important than a giant Unicron. You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

CHUG may or may not be stupid, but it describes the line. All of the Titan Wars figures as well as Siege fall under Generations, so CHUG is still applicable.

technically none of these are essential, but again, this is the 3rd prime for that scale system and this is the first unicron for its scale system. if we are speaking essentials then prime is technically in less need

I don't think Metroplex was ever widely on clearance, however. Sam's Club had a sale on them, I think that was all.

You're not including the original MP-1 right? That's not in current scale. Only with MP-05 and Mp-02

    I see your points though.

And I can't help but once again point out MPV3 Prime is being produced in excess to a point where it'll likely see a discounted price in its future.

Your opportunity to buy Prime after its initial release for an equal or even lesser price is considerably greater than ever finding this Unicron at this price new or in decent condition once it's done with.
