To clarify, this comes in response from an email thread where I apologised to Andy for my attitude, but seems he's done.

Happy to show people the emails I have sent if they wish.

Straw that broke the camels back sadly, I realised sometime ago it was pointless coming here as a ''fan'' due to the company, however has anyone noticed that pretty much most sellers have withdrawn from having an online presence in forums ? I used to think it was a shame but can totally see where a lot are coming from.

I've never run Kapow as profit driven, sure we have to make one to keep going and mistakes have been made along the way but we have also gone above and beyond for some folks here only to be bitten in the ass.

Valid criticism go for it, barbed comments etc why ? if you feel like that we can give you a refund, I cannot make Hasbro UK / USA do anything and sadly all the supply issues lay with them

I used to love this hobby but this last weekend managed 1 day at TFNation as I cannot stand speaking to folk who are so happy and smiley to our faces but so awful behind our backs online or via email, it's not a practice I understand to be honest but different strokes for different folks.

Facebook Q and A starts in a couple weeks so there will be a public platform to air grievances etc if you feel like it, it's a shame we don't get positive feedback online for the 1000's of other orders we do every year where people are happy. No one mentions the charity stuff we do or the free stuff we frequently give out to make people happy it's always the bad but that seems to sum up the internet these days.

Entirely fair points, Andy. I figured that with my Springer preorder being delivered, you'd sourced an import and yet were still selling it at UK stock price to me (unlike ID Toys who I guess were just doing what they thought best for their business) - which I mentioned over on UK Sightings, and I'm eternally grateful for that - genuinely noble, generous gesture.

In Whatsapps with friends we were wondering how you're making a profit with these kinds of gestures, and more credit to you. I've tried not to reply to every negative post about Kapow with "they're doing what they can", or reminding them that a lot of the issues have been the way Hasbro USA handles matters with regards to poor Hasbro UK - but sadly people don't seem to get it.

Hope you're not deterred from interacting with the decent folk here in future, but I can completely understand your frustration. People seem to treat the hobby like something that needs to be delivered as and when they want it. We all get impatient for things we really want, but we need to remember to be patient with those suppliers doing their best and going above and beyond to make their customers happy.

I'm looking forward to Love and Thunder personally, but I do have some misgivings.

    1) Mjolnir was already destroyed in Ragnarok, and 2013 Mjolnir was taken back to 2013 by Cap. How they going to do the thing if Mjolnir is still broken?

    2) The name. It always bothered me that the Jane!Thor saga started treating the name as a title. It's not a title, it's Thor's birth name. That'd be like someone else taking up my laptop and calling themselves "Dan" for a couple years while I had to make do with a shittier laptop and exclusively call myself by my surname.

But hey, I'm sure Taika can pull it off. Ragnarok was great.

Honestly I can see your points. I will say again I apologise for any frustration this caused you. Certainly wasn't my intent. Was frustrated with the situation more on Hasbro's end but now have a better understanding of it, and I probably fell in to the trap of forgetting there's a person on the end of all this sometimes. I'll own up to that and well, no hard feelings.

I still use you and I'll keep my pre-orders with you, since I've got a better understanding of the situation now. After all, looking forward to Brunt.

Might need some spoiler tags for those who haven't seen those movies - as a parent I understand how difficult it is to keep up to date with the films!

A fair point, I thought my comments were more being frustrated at the situation. Didn't mean them to come across as an attack on Kapow so guess I gotta make that clear in future. As for the other thing I mean if you had the ability to do a replacement I'd prefer it, but that is out of your hands so you're doing the fairest thing.

At the end of the day this is all plastic hobby and nobody needs the stress.

Hope you get to relax soon bud.

I've never seen Kapow so anything but try to do the damn impossible of running a healthy business and doing right by collectors .

I've worked retail for many years, wearing many hats, and its always a kick in the balls to do your absolute best for customers only to face a wall of dissatisfaction. Its always the loudest voices about the smallest things, but its enough to make you wonder why you bother.

Im always grateful for the steller service Kapow have supplied me, and I'll happily continue to be a customer.

    1) Probably some multiversal shenanigans. Who needs our Mjolnir when there's infinite versions of Thor with infinite Mjolnirs?

As for point 2, this has always bothered me too, so I have no explanation.

    NOINE NOINE!

Aaron's Thor run was one of the best in years. ANYONE with misgivings about how this can work, or thinks its pandering should check it out.

Thor is better off as a character for that story, and its telling that so much of it has already been incorporated into the movies before Love & Thunder was even announced.

Honestly I think this was more me being lack in clarity of where my frustration lied and forgetting there's a person on the end of the line. I'll own that and try to be more understanding to that in future.

If you're up to questions @Red leader aside from stuff like this (again sorry), what is the hardest thing about running a business like this?

Always ALWAYS remember theres a human being on the other end of the line. Or across the counter. Or behind the bar.

Amazingly, that one small action pays off in spades in customer service.

Yep. You'd think after working in customer service for ten years I'd remember XD.

    4 Thors? That's like...64 Thors.

Am sorry to hear all the crap you've been through, Andy - hopefully you n everyone at Kapow have not had the will to keep going with TFs sucked out of you, and I apologize if I have contributed to this. :(

So Simon Furman and Guido Guidi have done a prequel comic to the Marvel series and...

Purple Soundwave! He walks again! (No mouth though)

    Noine noine!

And yeah, the loss of mjolnir was never going to be permanent, obvs. I mean in comics/movies based on comics nothing is.

As suspected Ee's just too big for my requirements. I am totally sideeyeballing that 1:1 KO Protectobot set in all red and white that was at those Chinese Toyfairs with the Skittle-coloured CW KOs.
Thing is, I'd then also need to sort out a Cab/Hosehead Titan Master to boot! Rabbit hole AAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
Are you trying to pull straight down? It's actually a forward rotation motion you need to do on that bonnet, you're actually pivoting it down on the back hinge of the neckplate his head's on to about 45 degrees to release it. A tip I picked up watching Emgo's review.
I *think* it's already in-stock or at least listed at TF Safari, and thus far I've only heard good things about their service, though I cannot directly attest as my first punts on them are still in the air!
I mean first person to do the thing's/be the archetype's name becoming a title/appellation for anyone who later does the thing/becomes an embodiment of the archetype has a pretty strong precedent in both history, mythology, culture, and comics long before Jane Foster Thor?
    ^Utterly THIS x 9000.
I am personally indebted to @Red leader for reasons above and beyond an already above and beyond service, and apologies to you, Andy, if my worried mutterings are any part of the problem - my main fear is any more crap you have to deal with that is no fault of your own.

You're practising self reflection, and for that I salute you, sir. It's a lost art these days.

    @Red leader , May I suggest:

Option 1: Set yourself up with a new username on TFW (or wherever) and anonymously enjoy the fandom without the baggage of being known as Grand Poobah of Kapow Towers

Option 2: Set yourself up with a new username on TFW (or wherever) and anonymously roast Kapow Toys into the ground, then enjoy a wave of wholesomeness as throngs of satisfied customers come forth to defend their favourite bot merchant.

Apparently I'm a bit of a Reflector fanboy! Who knew?

Never made it to Reading myself, but I've been to plenty of festivals that devolved into the the dark depths of man's soul. Monday's gig in Belfast was quite chilled. Was nice after the madness of Metallica in June.

I mean, you joke, but I'd watch the shit out of it.

So what you're saying is that the reptilian overlords that rule the world have infiltrated this very forum?!

Sounds like your having a rough time of it lately Andy. Fingers crossed things chill out for you and the business sooner rather than later.
