Again, wow. Adults do those swaps now. There is a thread about it. With pictures. Nobody is worrying about children doing this. You two are literally making stuff up at this point.
Also, I’m curious as to why you’re even here. You keep mocking people here about “children’s toys.” If they’re such a childish hobby, certainly mature adults such as yourselves have better things to do.

Just buy things online if you're that afraid of theft?

It's literally a million times easier and less time consuming and you spend less $ on gas hunting toys around AND less time?

This will literally only affect parents who don't give a shit and just buy a toy for their kids and kids most likely won't give a shit either and will just play with whatever they've given.

I stg it's like some fans just want to be angry at something for the sake of being angry all the time.

As opposed to making fun of people that are concerned about their hobby of buying “children’s toy?” On a website devoted to those toys and associated media?
    Pot, meet kettle.

One demonstrates maturity while collecting a kids toy by acknowledging they aren't the target market for said kids toy. So if Hasbro changes something that I'm not really a fan of, I just don't buy it. And if that eventually means I'm not buying anything, oh well. Guess I got bored of the children's toy and moved on to something else.

Because that's what mature adults do when something stops entertaining them, they move on.

I’ve not seen anyone stating they’re afraid of a child swapping out toys. I must’ve missed it.

That’s not the only way to demonstrate maturity. As a toy collector or an adult.

And I'm not surprised at all.

I hope we get fully closed boxes. That would mean getting big artwork. Problem is that would make me want to keep the boxes, and I try not to.
I remember the feeling of opening yugioh packs and getting a misprint. People really wanted those for some reason.

I think it's an inevitability, really. I am sure that they will come up with something that's still very pleasant to look at.

Hey, so, here's a thought for those of you who are freaking out about the likelihood of toy-swapping when windowless packaging becomes a line-wide thing, are you guys ready for this? Check the contents immediately after purchasing it and if need be get it exchanged right there and then if some dillweed's replaced it with a cucumber. Fuckin' simples.

I'm surprised it's gotten this far without the politics seeping in - considering there's a lot of politics in this move by Hasbro. I could easily go on a rant about it but I'm basically doing extreme yoga to restrain even myself...

Not to mention the time/money saved not having to drive around looking for them.

They can use plant based plastic they breakdown in sunlight and are biodegradable - not ideal either but better than no window at all or open face boxes.

That - I just thought of something - how 1980's Kenner toys were packed - in closed card boxes with card inner trays. That was so bad on something like MASK as you get to the breag box art - which is something the window boxes lack - but what about minicons or micromaster - they number of them getting pinched is already huge if they were in open face boxes it would be even worse - I suppose a closed box with a hanger back isn't impossible but it may use more materials to do the same thiing.

I'm curious how they intend to handle smaller toys.

Oh and I like G2 Sideswipe's box as it has the nice box art on it.
