The difference is that Takara had the decency or at least wherewithal to tell us now, rather than just no-show for a month or two or five. As frustrating as surprise delays are for customers, they're even worse for the shops that know every day is costing them sales.

 

How is the PC-17 set?

 

Not in the least. He's a bit large by a deluxe in terms of current Studio Series standards, but all of the Dinobots are freaking HUGE in the movie (granted, Snarl isn't IN the movie, but I'm assuming he'd be the same size as the "lesser" Dinobots). He'd have to be a voyager at bare minimum; maybe even Leader to be in scale with SS Grimlock.

He IS roughly in scale with the other AoE/TLK Dinobot toys, though.

 

I'm still waiting for BBTS to restock Smashdown (or for TCP to get him in) because I can't find him anywhere in my area. I was hoping that his online availability would be more widespread by now.

 

i have the optimus/ginrai version and the figure itself is fantastic and the combined mode is perfect. even if you never make it part of the combined mode it's worth it all on it's own.

I wonder when MP-11ND Dirge will ever be on sale for a little cheaper?

I mean, I bought Thrust and Ramjet for $79.99 each (-$1 for Substandard box), but Dirge still hasn't lowered beyond the $99.99 price. Thrust and Ramjet are $85 since last week, but Dirge hasn't lowered anymore yet.

 

I'm wondering the same. I also bought Thrust and Ramjet. Waiting on Dirge to drop.

I went all in on this set and the variants. My first Optimus as a kid was powermaster prime I have the ginrai and the nemesis versions too.

Planet X's Star Saber and Soul of Chogokin Getter Emperor dropped into my PoL yesterday.

 

I think I’m about to complete my phasing out of bbts.com 100%. I’m sick of them and their practices. They are also getting slower and slower on items arriving. Not to mention how long it takes them to process orders nowadays 3-5 days, They used to be so much better.

Lied to by customer service representatives, preorder prices changing without information. They used to guarantee pre order prices, Making important changes that affect the consumer and saying we informed you when they didn’t, I’m not the only person they have said this to and not received any communication (not being transparent).

This is not just a knee jerk reaction I’m a loyal person and I will give a company my money over another just because they have great customer service even if they are a little higher than others on pricing or they are in Hong Kong (referring to tony at robotoybase.com he gives an extremely great customer service experience) and I know I have to pay extra to have it imported to the USA, I have been loyal to big bad toy store bbts.com since 2008.

So they have been giving chances and they can’t compete with other retailers customer service. They have gotten left behind and haven’t showed any urgency to have better customer service, being transparent with their customers or get caught up with other retailers.

A company shouldn’t think they can just get by because of their name it’s done by good quality service and works provided to their consumers.

I can say my dealings with toydojo, tfsource and robotoybase have all been great experiences. I will get to the chosen prime eventually. These are companies I will now be giving my business to.

I searched for a bbts.com feedback thread but didn’t see one, that doesn’t mean I didn’t miss it. So if there is one and a mod can move this message to there I would appreciate it.

Sharing customer experiences shouldn’t be against the rules neither so hoping I don’t get the “you can’t post this” type deal and get deleted.

 

Studio Series Drift, Hightower, & Dropkick are in stock at BBTS, they now sit in my Pile of Loot waiting to be shipped at the end of the month.

 

The slow shipping is definitely annoying. It shouldn’t take a week and a half to receive an order. But at the end of the day, it’s not super urgent to me. I can wait a little longer if it means a better deal. I do like their pile of loot.

 

I wish it was only that even though it doesn’t keep them competitive with other retailers.

They held up to a great standard for so long over the past few years it has gotten to the point I have described above.

They are getting out done in performance and customer service

 

What items changed price w/o you consenting?

 

I get what you're saying, but it's still not a selling point considering TFS and TCP offer the same service under the names Stack and Roller's Stash. Plus you get free shipping AND rewards towards free future purchases. On top of that, they sometimes ship same day.

There really is no reason to use BBTS anymore, other than they have old stock laying around when you need it long after everyone else is tapped out.
