I'm sure he isn't hating the pay. I dont see him being cast as James Bond or, anything. Hey Misser Bond!
According to Variety (who is more reliable than CBR which is run by idiots) the negotiations are still ongoing and the biggest dispute is over production credits. Honestly, they just need to come to an agreement here.
Yeah, I'll definitely take one but prefer a Mr. Fixit...and preferably an Art Adams inspired one at that.
Digging the Hulk’s head sculpt. It has maybe just a mild hint of Tim Sale ala Hulk Gray. The Orange shirt is from his first appearance in Hulk 1.
From what I've heard the Hulk was designed to evoke both Frankenstein's creature and various monsters from the monster movies playing at the time so I think that was intentional.
Is that satisfactory to you though? Certainly isn’t for me. “Is this the last act of defiance of the great [Peter Parker]?” Le sad Hopefully it all blows over and they reach an agreement. That’s all everyone wants. I’m gonna keep hoping *fingers crossed*
I expect this is just a big PR blurb to get people riled up and around Christmas we'll here about a new "miracle last minute deal" to keep Spidey in the MCU or Disney decides to flex it's Mousey Muscles financially and buy Spidey's rights back. Honestly though... having read up on how the current deal works I do NOT blame Disney for asking for a better cut of the pie. As for how this will effect Spider-Man based Marvel Legends it won't. Marvel still owns the merchandising rights to Spider-Man (even without a new deal) where they only got partial cuts from the previously Fox owned properties due to how their agreements previously worked.
Yeah, the other side of it is Sony got an incredible deal previously. Again, good for them and getting a great deal before doesn't mean they should take a shit deal now. The two of them could easily work out something reasonable so we will all see how it goes.
Oh, I agree, Disney was asking for too much, but like I said above... Variety is stating that talks are still ongoing so I expect a resolution at some point.
I knew that because Stan Lee did say that Hulk was inspired by Frankenstein. Holy butt cheeks, Batman! He sorta does and you know that means...potential Solomon Grundy custom.
I'm only quoting you because you're the most recent person discussing this here, so this isn't aimed at you or anything. F--- Tom Rothman. Seriously, F--- Tom Rothman, Chairman of Sony Pictures. The man is as petty as petty gets. Look him up sometime, specifically his involvement in the X-Men movie franchise when he was President / CEO at Fox. Pretty much every complaint you ever had about those movies stems back to him, usually in a retaliatory fashion. He's exactly the kind of guy who seems to constantly fail upward, and the movie industry would be far better off without him. Getting back to Legends, Amazon Hulk looks fantastic! I no longer care about the Pulse version, grey is where it's AT.
So what does everybody think about the Hasbro no-plastic-in-the-packaging announcement? Marvel Legends you can't check the paint apps on? Or if anything has been stolen/swapped out? Personally, I don't like it and I believe it will greatly curtail my purchases. Thoughts?
