I, for one, am furious the $20 weapon platform they packed in with this $30 Voyager isn't as cool as the $140 Revive Commander. And what's the deal with reusing the SS32 mold. As someone who needlessly buys the same figures over and over again I can't believe how big a ripoff this is. I mean, sure, I could have just waited to buy this to have the Voyager figure to go with Jetfire...but I gotta get those review clicks and ad dollars.
I don’t mind the whole Voyager with weapons platform/wings. I got used to it with Siege, but the lack of paint on the weapons and Prime himself is really what’s keeping me back. Now what’s makes me want this is the OG Voyager Prime from DOTM. I look at it I think WTF? The SS Prime is light years beyond the DOTM one. If only this leader Prime took the best of the other SS Primes i.e. clear windows, full row of roof lights, clear orange sword, etc. I know when I see him, I’ll be walking out with him.
Sorry, I was thinking of a different reviewer. (Though the "I gotta be first to review everything for the clicks but will complain about duplicate figures!" isn't specific to any one reviewer.) We knew SS44 was going to use the same Prime as SS32 before either hit retail, and we knew both would be compatible with Jetfire. The only people who should have bought SS32 were those who didn't care about the weapon platform/jetpack and just wanted a Prime that could combine with Jetfire. TL;DR: You screwed yourself.
Never said EMGO didn't like it. I'm saying I don't like it. Now triple dipping for the same Voyager Prime mold and the weapons ring trailer looks so cheap! HasTak couldn't paint the wheels on the trailer and the 2 back trailer wheel aren't free rolling? Come on! Keep it consistent with paint and such. Plus the shield looks way too small and the lack of paint of weapons is a bore! Too me, I see alot of things wrong with this SS item.
