Actually there was alot of talk in the thread about a different factory being used for overheat than was used for the other three so overheat and death wish could be put in production at same time, this was back in April I think.

 

I actually think it came right from ibot. Not that they were 'farming it out', but that they were using a second factory.

 

Yeah, I've been stress testing my G2, if its gonna disintegrate eventually, I want it to. But yeah, nothing's presented yet, and like I said previously, I transformed the shoulders back and forth at least a dozen times in a row on purpose. And I've gone over them with a magnifying glass and blue light and no cracks have presented yet. The G2 is prolly fine.

But yeah, the gun thing is minor compared to cracked shoulders so I think its more than a fair tradeoff. Of course, my disdain for the goofy 6 wheel design of the Tyrrell P34 has been mentioned before, and his bot mode is my favorite of the 5, so its not like I ever have him in alt mode all that much.

Yup, but he'll always come in talking up their upcoming releases like they're made from unicorn dust or whatever.

I hope this is an isolated situation with Overheat and not going to become an issue with the other figures already purchased and the others coming...I have the 4, G1and 3, G2 Stunticons so far and I would hate to have to worry about the rest of the team...

Unfortunately what I might end up doing is putting this guy in combined mode now, and buying the Fanstoys versions for robot modes...I'd hate to have to start buying ANOTHER set, buuuuuuuuut..I dont want figures falling apart on the shelf

@Hoffman actually, "farming out" means having a 2nd factory produce a product under contract, exactly what I said.

@Autobrat Leader My Overheat came from Netclow over on eBay after a significant delay while they awaited the second batch of Deathwish.

Only filed slightly down around the wheel mounts.

 

It seems like they from all different vendors so I personally don't see much use in tracking retailers. If someone else wants to, by all means do so.

I have the issue too. Noticed it when others first started discussing their shoulders cracking

 

Same here... 2 shoulders have cracks that were not there a few weeks ago... These were not there the last time I transformed him.

 

So is Gravestone coming with upgraded replacement shoulders for G1 and G2 Overheat?

 

Running in 2 factories does not mean that the other one does not belong to Keith.

 

Well, he made a point in stating they were running in 2 factories to meet a timeline. Making a point to highlight this fact tells me that this is not the norm.
