I hope this line doesn't go the way of the DoDo bird.

When he comes out he'll look great fighting off Manus and Despotron.

I forgot how good this thing looked. I really hope they come back and finish him, rodimus and their headmasters.

Its really too bad they did jetfire first, that figure doesn't seem to have been fully cooked nor did it seem to do well for them.

He’s just someone like I mentioned earlier that just wants the cartoon but with elbows and knees. The stuff the vocal minority now demand.

Like I said earlier mania king came during a time when it was okay to reinvent the look while still being faithful to the character. Very much a product of Classics/universe style figures till the demand for toy/show accuracy was demanded so much like it is now.

CHUG reinvents itself just as much.

Judging from their Divine Shooter which I own and your comment this line may suffer from "It's just chug, so we don't have to put in any real effort".
If they do finally decide to release this Galvatron I hope he will be a lot better than Shooter.

It’s kinda weird, the first couple releases were all really excellent so I was really surprised when they went straight down hill with the figures that were intended to combine with other figures. Maybe the cross dimension designer just isn’t good at designing figures with this type of gimmick.

If it is a matter of them just not caring about chug lines, then it saddens me to no end. I really miss the creativity that used to come from these companies.

I like this line. Will get every release, if MT releases them all.

I'm harsh on Mania King as anyone for tons of reasons: His wrists, the elbows, the endless nightmare that is his transformation, the fact the crown is sharp enough to draw blood, the whole thing with the cannon on the first release, plenty of reasons.

The crown's shape being wrong is a new one and I respectively disagree with it. Its Galvatron enough and calls to mind both G1 and IDW, and is particularly Spotlight Galvatron-y. Animation accurate ain't what I go for. There's a reason I'm not bothering with Siege Springer and I'm keeping the amazing Springer we got a few years back

I'm still hoping this guy comes out in toy/Marvel colours though. I've been hungering for a Galvatron 2 to stand against all of my various purple Galvatrons

It’s one of the very few 3rd party figures I have that hasn’t crumbled apart so it’s alright in my book for that reason alone.

Just the other day I took my Striker Manus off the shelf and discovered the ball socket where his arms connect are cracked. Luckily there’s that extra tab that connects the arms securely otherwise they’d just fall off.

There really hasn’t been a great solo Galvatron II figure.

I've gotten quite apathetic towards Mania King. I didn't mind him and got him since he was better than the original Classics tank.

But there are some minor annoyances I have that you nailed.

    1. That's obnoxiously pointy crown. I don't care how it looks, but man, it was sharp as hell. Also it just hangs there in cannon mode.
    2. Lack of wrist articulation.
    3. 1 to 2cm taller and that'd be perfect.

For CHUG scale, I don't need G1 animation accurate. Since when I started collecting this scale again with Classics, it was more "updated" G1. Now it's just shifted towards slavishly toon which is not necessarily bad, but I don't care for it as much as long as the updated look retains the spirit of G1. (MPs HAVE to be toon accurate though for me)

Example would be the first Blurr Generations had wheels, but I like to have a floating/futuristic car look. I don't care for Galvatron being a Head/Titan Master either. Seems very out of character.

I love Siege, but I was torn on Jetfire, too. Just seemed like a scaled down MP. Some variation besides greebles would have been cool. But I got him and love him.

I was about go into a paragraph on why Manaking was good AND bad at the same time, but I realized this is the MakeToys Cross-Dimension Galvatron thread.

I couldn't take it anymore so I mailed MT whether we'll see still this before end of the year; sadly, we won't (nor the Guardia reissue which I asked about as well).

Things are not looking good folks.
