I agree and it’s a very IDW Galvatron in ways and that’s what I want unfortunately this was revealed 2-3 years ago and like most, were bummed there hasn’t been an update in a year. I’d like him but I think there’s a bigger chance we’ll get a WFC Galvatron sooner than this and with the quality of Siege I’m more looking forward to that if it gets done. It’s peowbly a given since 99% of the Decepticons from 84 have been produced in Siege and there wasn’t too many in 85 since we already got combiners. I’d wager a new Galvatron is coming especially since hasbro has embraced Galvatron and Megatron being separate characters nowadays

 

I don't know why people love Mania King. He's too tall, curling iron elbows and the crown is completely wrong.

 

It still a cool design, even if it departs from the classic G1 Galvatron. I mean, well CHUG figures are supposed to be a modern interpretation of G1 figures anyways

 

Modern doesn't mean reinvent the design or change iconic cues.

 

In this context that's up for debate. Just look at the dino mode for classics Grimlock. Or how the original CHUG Optimus had a wind vane in truck mode and used his smokestacks as guns. CHUG reinvents and changes iconic things a ton.

 

Because he came from a time before everyone just wanted cartoon models with knees and elbows. Back when people could be creative with the design and fans not screaming “I WANT IT LIKE THE CARTOON!”

The elbows yes are a flaw but it’s not a deal breaker with that figure. Maybe it’s just me but I’m fully aware after a month is that figures just stand on a shelf. I don’t care if a figure has a flaw because people just move on to the next thing after word.

It’s a testament that after 5 1/2 years I still take him off the shelf and play with him because I enjoy his over all design and look

I believe that happened last year. Pretty much complete silence from Maketoys, and then they revealed stuff there.

 

Revealed stuff that still hasn’t happened sadly. Jetfire was made and then a shiny Manus. Look at all the stuff they’ve revealed in years that have just gone silent. Thankfully they still are active and haven’t gone the Fansproject route but I fear it’s a matter of time

Chug figures have been a lot of things.

His head just hangs there in altmode.
I'm not saying the TR figure doesn't have flaws, and Mania King has its pro's. But that isn't the best way to be creative with a design.

 

People have always expected proper elbow articulation in modern toys. Poor excuse. And changing up crucial design elements to be "creative" in a market that's about nostalgia is a moronic decision.

 

God I hope Cross Dimension doesn't die. It's the only line I have interest in.

 

I am conflicted. This line was promising at the beginning, but after their Jetfire, I am less than enthused.

Feels like nowadays Maketoys is just mailing stuff in. Also, they are doing a sales promotion on their most recent CD stuff. That can only mean that sales is poor.

 

I was so hyped up for this Galvy. I guess Open and Play will be my CHUG Galvy for now....

 

I will take responsibility for this. Every line I get invested in just wimps out before it's completed. PE never made Deathstalker to go with Warden; they didn't do full a full combiner kit for Abominus; FansProject's F(x) line died; Lucky Rogers never did a kit color-matched to Junkheap; Headrobots disappeared; iGear announced their Wreckers then closed up shop. I waited for all of them and have gotten nothing for it. It's me.

 

We get it, you hate Mania King, you don't need to keep harping on Mattymo about it. Maybe if you'd kept reading their post, you would have seen that they admitted that the elbows were a flaw, but instead, you latched onto the first thing you disagreed with and got all grumpy.
