While I have seen production pictures, you spoke what was inside my heart. If you're charging more than Hot Toys, then give us quality or at least match their customer service.

 

Hot Toys quality... so Prime’s paint shouldn’t get messed up by putting him in extreme poses, or get further damaged by leaving him in those poses...

I don’t think you can compare. Hot Toys figures look amazing, they’re like some really brilliant cosplay at comic con. They also are like those brilliant cosplayers in that they shouldn’t and/or can’t pull off any truly dynamic poses for fear of damaging their costume.

I’d hope Prime will be able to pull off and stay in any pose we imagine without incurring damage or stretch marks  

 

To people who ordered from Amazon Japan, have you been charged yet? Just curious when they do that.

 

Well, not to split hairs, but we don't really know for certain what stage of production that (or any of the other expos/wonderfest/Tokyo Toy Show displays) Optimus is, and I think the paint on the truck is still looking a little sloppy.
Not to mention that his antenna seem a little warped. SO, just stuff like that... I guess as a product made by humans,
there's only so much we can expect, but I had little scuffs and imperfections on my *only* $280 MP-36,
so I'm kind of hoping they've gotten better since then...

Edit: Btw, just to clarify, by production photos, I really mean final product photos,
as in the kind we used to get on occasion as teasers from Hisashi Yuuki. Like, the toy
in its fully finished glory. Ready to ship out.

Hot Toys I just don’t understand. Like they look great but I might as well buy an S.H.Figurarts.

 

Reading how excited everyone’s getting for this release isn’t doing much for my own anxiety lol. I also can’t help but to remember how a good friend of ours ( TC ) will miss out due to his unfortunate passing . This figure will hold your memory alive for me brother . Missing ya .

 

Some of us that have ordered him from AJ have either paid him off or have been paying the balance due with AJ gift cards. If you’re still waiting to pay the balance in full, they’ll start charging roughly three days before shipmemt.

 

If all goes well, I should be able to pre-order MP-44 tomorrow on Nippon Yasan! Talk about tight, 10 days before release.   Speaking of real life stuff, University has been really hard for me, but I'm giving it all I can. MP-44 and IT: Chapter 2 are two things I'm looking forward to in the coming weeks.

Honestly, I wish MP-44 would come a week earlier, as it was originally supposed to? Maybe I'm confusing dates. The week MP-44 comes I have a ton of tests, but fortunately, the week before I have a study break, so yay? Haha. I might receive mine up to a few weeks later because of the late PO.

I can't wait for the early birds to get their worm and share it with the rest of us. Day 1 in-hand photos of MP-44 would definitely make my week, even if I have to wait later to have my own come in.   We're very fortunate to be able to experience this, let us enjoy this for those who cannot.

 

Best 10 G1 episodes to watch for a beginner? I want to watch 1 episode a day until Prime arrives ! The only episodes I've seen are the first 3.

 

Top 10? That's tough. IMO, the whole first season is worth watching with only a few that have you feeling "eh." 2nd Season starts to fall off the rails for me but there are gems throughout the season. You could probably watch all of season 1 and then find the gems in season 2 (like Vector Sigma eps, or War Dawn where you learn about how Optimus came to be etc.).

 

Ooh, this is tough. Do you want Prime-centric episodes only, or just the "best" overall? And do multi-part eps count as one?  

 

Since Seasons 1 & 2 aren't very linear with no rhyme or reason to most of the writing, it would be kind of fun to actually compile the top episodes that lead up to the Movie and then Seasons 3 and on. Which obviously places emphasis on Optimus and his leadership.

 

You mean like my now deteriorated "leather" on both my DX 10 and DX 13?


Or my completely rotten to hell dome on my MMS ED-209 2.0?


Or how about my completely deteriorated MMS Sarah Connor rubber body?


Or the fact that if you attempt to sit your DX-09 inside the 1/6 1989 Batmobile would mean its complete destruction?


Or how about the fact that HT will sell you a 1/6 Batpod but the DX 12 will not fit on it naturally because they are simply not meant for it? As in, there's zero playability with those things.


You are not paying for the ability to pose them, yes. I know that. But QC marvels they are not.


They are pretty to look at, that's where your money goes. It is simply stupid to compare MP's with them. Not the same ballpark.
