As crazy as this sounds,I would be in if they did a KO of a Dead Starscream from the movie.

@Decepticon13 OK, I see where things got off track, I meant that TT is doing reissues of Acid Storm, Sunstorm and Starscream, sorry if I wasn't clear, I guess I figured since I said TFSource you would know I meant official since they don't sell KO's.

So the white color on this reissue (w/out panels lines) is the same white used on the original YM SS release? Is the red the same also or was it changed? Thanks

I will need to track down where I put the original YM SS and get a side by side. I will see if I can find it in the morning. Don't want to wake the kid :)

The white and red look the same to me on the reissue (without the panel lines). The box for the reissue also has the bb7 logo on it. 20190820_073530.jpg

I don't like how the non panel line version kept the tips of the null rays black. It looks like we'll still have to wait a while for the a true Takara MP-11 colored KO from Yes Model. It seems YM wants to produce Starscream in all sorts of colors except the official color, unfortunately.

I have also noticed on the reissue, that the null ray's are hard to peg under the wing on one side. I had the same issue with 3 copies of their Thundercracker as well. But seems extra tight on this reissue. I could not get the missiles to peg in at all.

Just wanted to post one more time before I put it up on Ebay tonight, I am selling a Yes-Model panel-lined Starscream that I received brand new last Thursday and have transformed once to robot mode for $55 plus shipping. PM me if interested. Sorry to spam the thread, last time.

Comparison pics. Panel lined version is the original release and will be up for sale if anyone is interested. I think I prefer the non-panel lined. I always saw g1 starscream as red, white, and blue, so this'll be my third and final version, including a sold TT version, until something better comes along. (But they better do ALL the seekers cuz i love a matching set.)

I'm hoping for Yes Model to release the generic seekers seen on Earth. This image from OptimusTimeLord's vid has been stuck in my mind ever since he first released it. I want these seekers!!!

I really hope they re-release skywarp and thundercracker at the same price if not less (considering they wont have the coronation set they should be cheaper), this non paneled seems beautidul with the white instead of grey

A purple version of the MP Seeker has been a long wish of mine as well.

But I don't see it happening. Quite simply because it hasn't yet and the pre-order/crowd fund for the Maketoy purple seeker isn't doing well...actually, it's doing dreadfully bad. I very much doubt any other 3rd party or KO company would be willing to risk it now that they've seen that the Maketoys attempt doesn't even come close to getting the support needed.

I would agree with your point when it comes to 3rd party, but I think the KO companies have little to lose. They have released a translucent MP-11, Greenscream (who was very unpopular originally) and the upcoming gold Starscream, which makes me think that it's possible to see at least a couple generic variants of the MP-11 mold.

The all orange Sunstorm never appealed to me, but I think that there's still a market for it even though I'd prefer G1 versions of Hotlink, Bitstream, Nacelle, Redwing, or even Slipstream over any more translucent or gold variants. I'd even take this variant.

Or even better, how about an IDW inspired Sunstorm?

I can see your point, but I don't agree. Maketoys corwdfund for a purple seeker not going well (less than a hundred backers of five hundred needed), is a deterent. There's in such a scenario no difference betwee a KO company and a 3rd party company. Both Maketoys (a 3rd party company) and YM (a KO company), already have the mould and it would be just a case of starting production with the existing mould but in new colours. Same situation, same costs, same risks.

Maketoys their attempt failing (no doubt partly due to it being a crowdfund, which isn't popular) gives a clear sign to both other 3rd party companies and KO companies, that there isn't a big enough of a market for a purple seeker. It says that if they make one, they won't sell enough (a 100) to offset the costs of production (500).

(I must say that I think these Seekers are a big rip off. They should be cheaper, since they know they will get a huge out of the mould.)

I honestly used to own that iGear G2 Ramjet and I only bought him back then with the intention of kitbashing him into a purple seeker. Sold him since. Still have the iGear green version (Rain).

But I can assure you the iGear orange Sunstorm is a beauty. Such a shame that Robot Hero doesn't seem to release their OS KO Sunstorm (orange). I have no use for it collection wise, but I would get it immediately.

Also very nice, and imo much better looking than the one we got from TT and YM.

I doubt the Maketoys fundraiser failing has anything to do with what other companies do, or at least it shouldn't. There's a lot more going on there than just lack of interest in the toy. They certainly didn't advertise this one as much as their sunstorm one, said sunstorm had lots of QC issues, and the price is outrages for yet another repaint on that same mold. That's turning off buyers way more than anything I'd think. If yes model or someone else started pumping out bitstreams and hotlinks at $80 a pop, they'd sell like hotcakes.
