Wiggle it while pulling. That works better than brute force.

Appreciate that! Got him into Space Ray/Blaster/Cannon mode last night, and that helped get the legs back again afterwards. I know it's probably an obvious thing but something I hadn't considered.

Now, should I be worried that once I got him back to the most logical mode I sat in my chair and just moved his legs back and forth, to hear the ratchets, for an hour?

As proportion is beautiful because bulky and strong but his legs are hard to pull out as transforming Constructor bots? That one is famous for very resistant pieces to work and on transforming Quakewave requires a lot of effort in some videos .
But as a Shockwave decepticon leader ,this depicts him better than Takara version.

Then I wonder if all Quakewave versions have batteries included.

Quake Wave only weakness is that has strange knees but both him and MP Shockwave are very good. Quake Wave wins because he's taller and I prefer his bulky body, sure he fights using brain but he knows that being intimidating helping in being Decepticon leader.

Then Quake Wave used are rather cheap and have a battery in the head,do you think that a old one could already damage the bot inside or usually it takes more years?A topic says that could even explode :(  I could try to remove it but in a Vangelus video apperared that some of them are very difficult to proceed without damaging the piece. What are your experiences?

I still think FT should think about a V2. Something with the sleekness (and more accurate legs) of the official, with a nice coat of paint, but with some of the intimidating presence of Quakewave (especially the height - I like my Shockwave to be able to look Megatron in the eye).

I've got some really old collectibles that came with batteries inside them...like 10 years old watch batteries. Not saying it can't happen but I've never had one explode or swell and leak and destroy the figure in any way. Alkaline ones are a different story of course.

Usually when I get around to opening and taking them out (I don't do lights on my figures so it's really a nuisance for me more than anything) I just end up taking out dead batteries that *look* fine, just dead.

That said, I don't believe Quakewave ever came with batteries from the factory. There were two types he needed, one for the head and another type for his arm...I think. Regardless I recall people asking and trying to find them way back when. So, unless you're getting a used one that someone put the batteries in and then sold it, it'll be empty. If not, you can easily take them out and leave them out or replace them with fresh ones.

I took out all the electronics from my QW, then got an upgrade kit from a kind gentleman on these boards (I don't remember his name, sorry) to replace his 'eye' and hose. :D  IMG_0994.jpg

Quakewave shouldn't come with pre-installed batteries. He takes the standard 377/376 battery. It may be a little tight to pop out, but can easily be done with a spudger (every TF collector should have a set of these).

God no, it'd be a repeat of Cyclonus---diecast for no reason, with super-chipping purple paint. Just mold Shockwave in purple.

    V2 yes, paint no.

Sorry, I disagree, i want it full of paint just like Quietus T, which has no issues by the way, only the regular one. But who cares, it's not like there will be a v2 Quakewave anyways....

Quakewave still eats Laserwave for breakfast. I just want new appropriate legs for him, neither his fat legs nor the ridiculously skinny TT ones do it for me.

Very few years ago it was written by some researches that some LED's for very prolonged use, could hurt eyes but now they're becoming more and more common in houses and also for street lights, hope that Quale Wave ones are safe, I'll remove them after a while because I don't need them but I'm still curious if his light are more powerful than MP Shockwave or other LED 3rd party bots.

It is much less intense than a typical light bulb, and would only be throwing off ~590-560nm wavelengths. Nothing to worry about.

Still one of my favourite MP figures all these years on. It has that proper nostalgia thing about it that modern MPs are missing...not quite toy-accurate, not quite toon-accurate, not quite comic-accurate, but 100% nostalgia-accurate. It's Shockwave as you remember/imagine him to look.
