You have to check the sky on Walmarts website with stores near you. I got lucky finally today in South florida.

 

Swung by my local Wal-mart and they had Soundwave and the Frenzy/Laserbeak 2 pack, but no Rumble/Ravage.

The brickseek link and the same UPC that my Frenzy/Laserbeak was TRANSFORMERS G1 CASSETTE 2 PACK - Walmart Inventory Checker - BrickSeek

Are they using that same link or assortment for both cassette two packs?

 

Since they come in a case together, the 2 packs are most likely stocked under the one Sku number.

 

Was working on renovating our old house to sell and missed this first wave. Well, I saw Soundwave (whom I’m passing on) but must have missed the cassettes everywhere. Hopefully a restock comes soon

Was lucky enough to place an order for Soundwave early this morning on Walmarts website, says it will be here tomorrow. That's quick!

 

Managed to find a freshly pegged bunch of cassettes about an hour ago. I don't think anyone had gotten to them yet since there were 6 of each. On BS and the WM website, it says that store is now OOS. Maybe I should've bought 2 of each (1 to open, 1 to keep sealed) like I was thinking about, but too late now. I really hope that true collectors/fans got them and that it wasn't a single scalper who cleared them out, but I kind of doubt it. Unfortunately, Soundwave wasn't put on the shelf yet. I can only hope I'll be so lucky to get one before the scalper does but I also kind of doubt it.  

 

Got the cassettes as well last week. I noticed the boxart ( or card art in this case) is not as crisp as the original artwork from the eighties. Saw it on my Starscream reissue box as well. The art is darker and not as sharp as the original. It's like they copied it off an original box instead of using the original scans.

 

I think I can confirm that Walmart is restocking these. A Walmart about 20 mins away was the first to sell out, well ahead of the reset (probably selling them out of the stock room.) They sold out before most people started looking. Well, today Brickseek says they have 7 more. I can’t go there to confirm but it’s probably accurate.

I think the excitement and fury about this release may be dying down. I’ve now got two stores with product supposedly sitting on the shelves according to brickseek. So I wouldn’t worry about hitting up eBay unless you’ve only got one Walmart and never saw any G1 Primes.

 

I got these guys today...I didn't plan to...but I saw them all sitting on the shelf all at the same time and I caved. I'm tempted to pop the bubbles off of the cassettes and swap Frumbles so they match my toon canon...

 

I agree I'd buy again G1 Menasor and Devastator for some memories and will surely happen, but as toy to always display,Soundwave and cassettes seem to have aged better.

 

Don’t forget about Frumzy.

 

I must admit. I’m a little jealous seeing all you guys & girls uploading store pics & penning to this thread. Pen is envy.

 

With Blaster already being announced does anyone think they will make his cassettes too?

Hit three WalMarts over the weekend that all showed plenty in stock on Brickseek and none of them had any. Just said F-it and bought one for $60 shipped on eBay. Done and done.
