I'm sorry man, I haven't really made any more progress, but it's in my next two or three things to work on. I'm mostly just trying to finish another special MP-44 digibash prior to the release date :worried face: I think I burned myself out slightly, I haven't been wanting to spend quite as much time editing lately (but I am still doing some most days). Hopefully then I'll get to @GAUGE's challenge too, yours is looking really cool so far Gauge!!

Oh haha, this thread, still, a gem all the same  

 

Took a quick low-effort crack at my ideal version of a toon-colors MP-44. The white on the character model is supposed to represent chrome, the gray is meant to be silver, and the blue cartoon window glass is supposed to represent regular window glass, so I stitched together a few of chchchch's earlier digibashes to fix the remaining white parts and gray parts and adjusted the window colors closer to a clear/smokey clear. Granted, my ideal colors for G1 Optimus are just the toy colors, which chchchch has already taken care of quite well, I just wanted to see how the ultimate cartoon Optimus figure would look like as I always actually saw him in the cartoon.  

 

Dude that's awesome!! I don't know why I never thought of doing this variation, I love it! While I'm one of those people who wants the white thighs/crotch, the chrome interpretation is totally valid and I've often been curious what it would look like. Great job bringing in the other details too.

I've also always thought it would be kinda cool if people used my digibashes as starting points for their own so I'm super flattered      

 

Hey @chchchch, I’m not sure if you’re busy or not but all this talk of the new Optimus has had me thinking about some other potential Megatrons. With the potential of cheap and black retools it seems like a sensible time to think of other options. If you’re up to it, you think you could do some bashes of the Diaclone Black and Grey gun robos?


And with the grey, potentially including the yellow flail that Megaplex had?

 

Yes! Well, I've been planning to do these for awhile anyway, so I'm definitely going to! I'm working on something else at the moment (that I think you'll highly approve of, but I don't want to reveal it just yet in case I lose interest in it   ) but then the Megatrons might be my next one!
