Any love for this creepy boi? Very glad to have him back in my collection, and for a fricking fiver!

I'm thinking he can live amongst my seige figures but under a new name. Any thoughts? I'm thinking Noise Maze or Jetstorm.

He makes for a terrific Noise Maze now you've suggested it.

Noizemaze seems highly appropriate, especially if you consider the name of Tarantulas’ weapon against the mind in SOTW

Now that's a beauty pagent, phwoar!!
I'm still disappointed that the xtrans g2 Breakdown could only be purchased with an other bot.

Thanks was going to ask for a link.
Currently at a hotel in Preston on a tfn come down especially as it means I can't even admire and fiddle with the new purchases.

Well, somehow this has taken 15 years to get around to stickering up:

    20190819_205619.jpg 20190819_214514.jpg

Problem is I can't see where to put stickers one and two, the instruction sheet glosses over it a bit, a small picture of the instructions seems to put them on his upper legs but they look like potential rubbing points to me. Any ideas? @Maz maybe, you're a sticker nerd.

    20190819_210439.jpg 20190819_210451.jpg 20190819_210504.jpg

Still a fantastic toy, even 33(!) years on.

Appreciated! I could've sworn the standard version was out already, we've seen so much of him at conventions and the like. And agreed, what they seem to be doing with the movie stuff is absolutely lush!

@Raz0rClash: apologies Matt, I didn’t realise you were even on the tfuk thread! :lol  It was a pleasure to spend time with you too!

Those wristband looks great, “this years Beauty pageant winners are...”;)

so, I got this big bastard out.

    85697076-AFFF-41E0-8C51-1192BE2242F0.jpeg

I have to say, he’s a lot easier to put together at home than it was in the bar with everything else that was going on around us at tfnation. Even with much appreciated help from @Loosecannon who also set me up with him.

He’s very impressive, loads of heft and with super-tight ratchets all over him. Still not entirely sure where he is going but a home I will have to find him.

And last, a pic with with brave max.

Now to get some batteries in him and try out the sound chip.

Those stickers DO go on the thighs, but they also are prone to rubbing. The original TM version was remoulded to have indents for the (revised smaller) labels as seen on thise instructions

Sadly these didnt carry over to any of the reissued versions. I passed on applying them as its just going to go wrong.

It's meant to be on his thighs, and IIRC Targetmaster Hot Rod has indentations to put the stickers in. Buuut early versions of Hot Rod, the thigh stickers are too big. They got it right for TM HR but the recent Walmart reissue had the oversized stickers again!

This was an incredible sight in the bar. Terrifying though, every time he looked like he might topple/

Noisemaze it is! I was referring to the Galaxy force figure (jap version of Cybertron sideways) but after looking up the sins of the wreckers thing, yeah, I can see him as a spooky silent Scarecrow type character, locking poor bots in their minds!

The Springeriest Springer if ever their was!
    DSC_0061.JPG DSC_0063.JPG
Word is Xaaron called it "Operation: Volcano" because of how smoking hot he thought the big green wonderboy was!

After another go round into car mode I am feeling more affection towards the technique, finicky is the wrong descriptive - it's *exacting* is what it is, it demands concentration, and as you become more familiar where key structural bits should be it makes sense, even though I don't think I'd ever describe the transformation as intuitive it is logical, and learnable. As well as the legs the alignment of the canopy back panel and mastering it's lever joint is key BUT, unlike T30 Springer, there are definite locking points to hit so you know when you've got it. There's more clues than "the windscreen won't stay together" as to how to correct what you haven't got quite right.
They have indeed done it again, and better. I almost want a Roche Wrecker leader re-done with Siege Engineering...alright, I already actually do want one but let's stick to admiring this fella for now!
