Yup..this one seems a bit rushed not just in terms of QC. It would have been nice to include a few additional pieces, maybe a copy of one of the 'armed up' kits. Even the box is a bit underwhelming.

After trying to transform IT-02 to dinosaur mode I give up halfway lol. The tab between the leg and the body is insanely hard to connect. The left foot's peg is impossible to turn. And don't get me start on the tail lmao.

Now after trying to turn the whole thing back to the robot mode, the right arm can't even sit flush without untabbing the tab between the front and the arm flap. zzzzz

Exactly! A second Golden Disk, better instructions, and like you said even the Armed Up kit would DC have been great!...

    Fuck those leg tabs!

After hours of finger pain and Shock oil, I was able to finish the transformation. My copy seemed to take my frustration pretty good, but there are certain parts like the feet I'm weary about.

Not keeping him in dino mode, but he doesn't look bad at all considering even the original has most of the same alt mode short comings when it comes to look.

I took plenty of time dabbing Shock oil in all the joints. Now to get him back to bot mode and hopefully I can get the chest tabbing to work.

Are you guys rotating the shoulder piece at an angle prior to pushing the tab in?

So finally transformed him back and here are my thoughts.

    GOOD
    • I think the build quality is overall better than most think. I stink at transforming things and I was able to get this thing transformed (brutal as it was) and nothing got damaged. However, I Shocked Oiled the hell out of every joint and swivel I could based on some of the reviews I've seen, but that's something I do with most official and 3rd party stuff I get when I feel it takes too much effort to move something around
    • Very sturdy feeling in bot mode. The ankle joints are tight enough. Dino mode is ok as well, but the legs don't seem to hold him up in a position I like without the included stand (That might be by design and not the fault of this KO)
    • Paint quality seems good as well with only a few dings and sprue marks. Definitely would like to know the orange/copper and gold paint used for touch up
    • Accessories are great and don't seem to have any noticeable blemishes. The Golden Disk is beautiful.
    • Presence is beautiful. Love the character this guy has. All the face sculpts look very nice and I can get some very nice poses even without the stand
    BAD
    • 2 joints were very loose: The flap that holds the neck compartment and the left foot cover. Fixed with a bit of glue to tighten the joints
    • The tail had issues with the joints that pop up and move to form his other weapon. There was a pin that was too far out which didn't allow the compartment to move up in order to swivel part of the tail to tab in. Once I knocked that in, it was good to go and everything pegged in nicely to make the tail weapon
    • Alas, the side blue panels don't peg into the chest area all the way as everyone knows. They may have made the hinges from his back too thick so it doesn't allow the panels to reach the front properly when closed. The faux dino head that makes up the chest seems to hold everything together fine as long as it snaps into place
    UGLY
    • I said it before... FUCK THOSE LEG PEGS! It took me hours to finally get those things pegged in for dino mode. Not sure if its because the metal part has a small bump to hold the thighs in dino mode better? It sucked for me
    • The hands: I had to do a bit of shaving and constant pushing just to get the sword in one hand. However, his tail weapon does not fit in any hand. Perhaps its the fact that peg is too long and it needs to get sanded? Whatever the case, each hand has 2 stress marks from trying to get the accessories in. I got this figure from @ShowZStore and I may have to contact them just to see if I can get new hands (UPDATE: I kind of fixed my issue with glue so now the tail weapon stays pegged in albeit not that secure and I used a steamer to improve the stress marks a bit. I still may go the replacement part route)
    OVERALL = 7.5

I would recommend getting IT-02, but it needs some TLC. There may be quite a few people with bad experiences with this guy, but for a KO... I'm pleased to say I don't feel like I bought a bad figure. You definitely need to use plenty of patience and give this thing some Shock Oil love. (That sounds gross) Hope everyone that got a bad one gets replacement parts as needed

If you have a R/C or hobby shop in the area, which is where I got mine for DX9 Gabriel, you can find at those places. I went that route vs Amazon because I had found some info about NERF guns and the posts seem to indicate a certain type of chemicals to use to ensure your not doing harm to the plastic or toy.

With that said, I don't think I saw any posts for those that bought from Amazon but just make sure it is the right stuff. My stuff says "ProTek RC Premier White Friction & Noise Reducing Gear Grease Lubricant and comes in a syringe. Cost me $6+ tax.

Not going to lie I'm actually happy the official version is the best option for once. I still am considering one of these KOs. Which is the consensus on the best one so far?

Oh My Primus has their shipment in and requested the remaining balance, but I asked them for a refund. Hopefully they can.

I just don’t want to risk it with this guy. I’ll wait a few years for a Takara reissue. I have all the others and Blackarachnia on preorder, anyway. Makes more sense just to wait, I think.

    good luck with the refund.

I decided to get it anyway. It's going to be on a shelf so I decided just to get it in the end despite all the issues. I just hope Oh my primus get replacement parts. Watching the foot snap off in Ben's Collectable's video was very concerning.

Mine is arriving today...I won't be in so I will likely pick it up tomorrow. I've decided to open it, inspect it and decided what to do from there. If it's good enough it'll join the beast mode display.

Official. The official didn't need a second batch to get right? How do you steal an IP and still fuck it up? lol Anyways, unless you want floppy parts, blue hinges in beast mode, I would strongly advise the official, this thread is a good lesson and reminder of Karma.

So got mine in today. Appears to have all the parts and I was able to get his ribs to tab together kinda okay. I haven't had a chance to transform all of him yet, but I tried transforming his tail first. It seemed fine and tight, but that one joint that was annoying on the official was just as annoying on the KO. And actually they didn't push in the pins all the way on that joint, so when I pushed it up through the hole, the pin that was slightly out shredded the plastic and now the tail is loose/fucked. I highly suggest you guys take a center punch to those pins and make sure they're in all the way before trying to transform the tail

Here's a pic showing the damage. The plastic is so thin there that the pins shred through the entire support on that side. The second pic shows how far out the pins are in mine.
