I just got a package in from Maojie. It's pretty close to what I ordered, and may turn out to be good. I did *not* expect this! Lemme explain again real quick:

Because of his 30% cuts, I chanced it and spent about $180 on Zeta's Silverbolt and 2 limbs. He at first did not send any tracking data, then only for 1 package, then after me asking for it also for a second. I asked about the 3rd, he said he had... sent me the 2 limbs together - this is important later.

After a bit, both tracers began to show status updates. One in Chinese only, so I ran it through the 17track translator. The packages were posted in different towns, with different services, which seemed dodgy as f***, but the towns were relatively close together. Like, different sides of London together, but still. Could be he posted one at work and one at home, whatever.

The packages kept updating - and yesterday one suddenly cleared customs in the Netherlands! So, I prepared myself mentally for another envelope with a piece of electronics or what not.

Today that first package arrived. It was big! It had the tracking code of the 2 limb-bots. It wasn't quite that big, but still TF sized. And inside was Zeta ZB-04 Catapult!!

Now, from the poor English in Maojie's communications - which were always relatively quick - I had gotten the impression that he had put the 2 limb bots in 1 package. That would have made sense: the smallest together. So only getting 1 limb is still a bit disappointing, even though it is way better than nothing. I just have no idea what to expect of the other package now...

Some bits of info that may be relevant later and I thought worth mentioning:
- The bot was wrapped in the standard styrofoam+yellow tape we all have come to know and love.
- The package had been cut open by Dutch customs - which is a rarity! it only ever happened to me maybe once and never from China - by cutting through the styrofoam all around the middle. I thought for a second that maybe they had removed part of the package, but the two halves of the styrofoam fit together like they belonged and the yellow tape more or less continued from one half to the next. The Dutch customs had resealed it with tape mentioning their action. It was a poor cut, but definitely not damaging.
- The Dutch customs may have also looked inside the Zeta box, because the tapes look pulled loose and re-applied. Nothings seems to be out of place inside.
- The Zeta box was heavily dented on one side. However, the package itself was not. At all. Which leads me to believe the Zeta package had been dented in the seller's warehouse and that was the reason of the discount. The inside of the Zeta package is that nice black styrofoam, and the figure itself seems completely whole.

Gaah, what does this mean? Did I get really really lucky to even get one? Will I get all three? This is actually kind of exciting!


TLDR: Maojie sent me 3 bots in 2 packages. 1 package arrived and indeed contained one of the bots I ordered! :O

hmm, the negative feedbacks start for purchases on the 6th that I can tell..My order was placed on the 7th. I emailed after three days of no movement on the tracking number I was rapidly provided and a kind return message from them and then movement. I'm hopeful...

@XAslanX I wouldn't wait. You have more than enough proof (seller sent cheap, incorrect item on purpose and items have been removed from their Ebay store) to file a refund claim WITH PAYPAL and get your money back within 10 days. Paypal usually refunds your money back faster.
Call Paypal as soon as possible and speak to a live agent per the instructions on the very first post of this thread. Explain what happened and they'll get your money back in 10 days or less. henanren_34 has been moved to the bad sellers list.

 

Paypal has postponed my refund from Acfun_toys... they said a “special team” is looking into the case and I need to wait. Apparently Acfun_toys gave them tracking and they want to give the “special team” time to figure out if the tracking is real. Ughhh...Usually they are tip top on getting me my refunds... the girl from paypal was like a broken record about the special team doing all it can to resolve my dispute. I told her acfun_toys has not responded to any of my messages and the tracking is most likely fake.

It has beeN 12 days since I opened my case. My paypal account says it may take up to Sept 7 to resolve the case. Called ebay, and they told me to bad. You started with paypal. You end with paypal. Nothing we can do except mark your complaint against acfun_toys. U gotta love wasting time talking to customer service...

I suppose I could be like Erwin and luck out by actually getting my items, but I really doubt it. I hope This ends soon. After this I think I may take a break from China seller unless they are ones I have used. They seem to be getting smarter at drawing disputes out in Hopes of getting people to give up... I think they are preying on newbies.

 

Just hang tight. The tracking number is obviously fake so you will get your refund. I'd even try calling Paypal again in the morning or the day after (perhaps on Monday even) and reach a different rep who might be able to better assist you. Sometimes it's worth trying.

 

I agree.. I have noticed that the reps that work weekends at paypal and ebay seem to be Not as helpful as the people ive spoken to during the week. And follow up call never hurts, especially if you are unsure of the progress of your claim

 

It won’t help you any, but I always assume it takes at least a month for me to get my money back after I open a claim. Have always gotten it back though.

So I bought 3 items on August 17 from shimin-58 who's on the reputable sellers list and was provided the tracking number in the picture: ebay tells me it's an EMS tracking number but when I enter it on their site and other sites that track EMS, no results are found... Should I just wait a bit for it to update or could this be a fake tracking number? nothing really suspicious about them as their positive reviews for the last month are from accounts with highly varied ratings, not people with only 1 or 2 ratings like me lol.

Because of seller Runtaikl was in the good sellers list 2 weeks ago I was going to buy something from them but still had a weird feeling and passed and spent the extra $5 with Baba.....

The reason I am saying this is just because a seller has 5 or 10 good feedback from us here means shit now. Before the Chinese sellers gets to be on the trusted list should be a period of 6 months or 30 good feedbacks. I'm getting tired of those fuckers scamming us and having to deal with eBay and PP constantly.
