There's some funny business going on with their prices lately. Deluxes will drop to $16 for awhile, then shoot up to $26, like they're trying to recoup what they lost selling for $16. The same sort of swings are happening with voyagers as well. It's not the 3rd party merchants, but Walmart themselves, similar to what Amazon does. And it seems to be picking up steam on both sites...

 

Anyone who ordered Hightower from Wal-Mart.com get a ship or pick up notice? Had a pre-order in with a promise date for tomorrow. The order status on mine still showed prepping order so I reached to customer service and they advised pretty much they don't know when it will ship or be available.

 

I had the same experience with siege red alert a few weeks ago. I had it preordered for several weeks. by the time it was released it had taken them several days just to get it shipped out. finally showed up at the store about a week later. so they're definitely not living up to their 2-day pickup service. I dont think theyve quite mastered the preorder like Amazon has.  as long as you havent gotten a cancellation notice, you'll get your figure eventually. probably sooner, rather than later..

btw Hightower is a great figure..

 

Siege bluestreak is out of stock. Does Walmart usually get them back in stock or is it one run and done?

 

And I got a cancellation notice from Walmart. The explaination I got was that even though it was in stock when I pre-ordered and was already paid for, there was a system glitch and it prevented my order from processing while they sold out of Hightowers. Got a $10 off coupon code but now pretty much everyone else is sold out or presold out. Did get a pre-order in at Amazon though.

 

Im guessing that they'll be plentiful, and also released at brick and mortar sometime during the holiday season.

Still haven’t gotten past the “preparing order” status on a preorder for SS Hightower, Drift, and Dropkick despite saying it would get here yesterday. Ughhh.

 

I got 80th Cap from them no problem. It's every hit or miss. I would recommend ship-to-store if you can as none of my orders so far have been canceled using that method (though it could just be a string of good luck).

 

damn that sucks, sorry to hear that. $10 coupon, not bad. I still dont see how Amazon isnt getting those until December. I should think theyll get 'em sooner than that. I found mine at target. hopefully you can find one in store. keep in mind that wave has yet to reach full saturation. give it a little time and a little patience, you'll have Hightower before too long..

you aren't the only one. others are experiencing this also.. really am sorry to hear that WM isnt living up to their preorder dates.

 

...if hasbro doesn't get their house in order, distribution problems are going to kill their market with the younger demographic and ultimately take the franchise with it...

 

Oh man, I almost forgot about Soundblaster. Finally got my new credit card (previous one expires in Sept so Walmart wouldn't let me preorder an Oct release dated item).

$39.99? WTF?! I'll wait. I didn't want Soundblaster that badly.

 

The price will go back down once he's officially released. These stupid algorithms Amazon and Walmart are using are ridiculous. Target's the only that seems to stay on the up and up and not looking bent, right now. Heck, even eBay has some excuse because the buyers/market set the prices, but doggone... Amazon and Walmart can go screw themselves.

 

They do seem to to not overprice as often, though they are not strangers to it either (NECA turtles were upped $8 at my local Targets).

But if the Loki/Glaive 2 pack is any indication, Soundblaster's price will go back to normal in 1 to 6 months (whenever they get a big restock).
