Hopefully. Maybe the new factory in China might come good. Only 13 days and counting...

    I don’t know.

Yeah supposedly. Especially with @Phamduc’s review on Bumble 2.0 the China ones are for figures that deserve extra care.

i was meaning the first head it came with, the one that did look like optimus prime but not at the same time [IMG]

this is the head i am talking about, which to me this is the best 3rd party optimus prime, but anyway, imagine that head on mp44.

The QC for Siege Ratchet is absolutely piss poor. Over paint on head crest, face and there were finger print sploches on the red painted parts. Must have been the Vietnam factories fault.

    Right on the money here.

That said MP-10 was made in Vietnam. This’ll be the first made in China Convoy since MP-1.

Chinese factory is not perfect, MP-43 and his cracking crotch came from there too. But generally we can imagine they have more experience than Vietnam, so at least their painting skills might be better.

#1 in experience anyway. They charge more than Vietnam, too.

I don't know which factory MP-9 was made in (worst QC issues of all time) but so far QC issues have been as follows:

MP-12 first run, mismatched paint (China)
MP-27, MP-28 and MP-30 first runs, dodgy chrome (Vietnam)
    MP-35, paint chipping (China)
MP-41 shoulder issues (design flaw? China)
MP-43 crotch issues (also design flaw? China)

I guess the paint hasn't been flawless on MP-17+ or MP-18+, but generally pretty good on my copies. Vietnam is also working with moulds that had another factory working on them, so I imagine lessons were learned and passed on.

I'm nitpicking but you wanna add bad electronics to that. Easily as prevolent as the shoulder issue or MP-43's misassebled crotch.

Ah I didn't know it was that wide-spread. Thought it was just you, HolyCulture and one or two others? Wide-spread as MP-43's crotch, I suppose.

It's been reported by roughly as many as the crotch thing is my point....MP-41's shoulders are fine for most too, only a handful of people reported them breaking, it was just clear from the design that it could have been avoided so flagged more clearly. In a way I'm sticking up for the QC... sucks when you get a dud though... especially at today's prices.

I guess so. Chinese factories have been making TFs much longer. So there's some degree of familiar toy making processes. Everything costs more in China..hence the mark ip in the pricing for MPs.
But most of the Siege stuff came from Vietnamese factories I believe.

MP-36 (first run at least), droopy barrel, and front rail where the scope attaches not tabbing in all the way. Some barrels not able to rotate on the hinge due to plastic flashing. (Believe it was the Vietnam factory).

Can't get rid of mp10. My wife bought it for me when I went all googly eyed over it in a chance pass by a TRU years ago. It was pricey, we'd only been dating a 6 months or so and she surprised me with it as a 1st anniversary (of dating gift.)
Now years on, a marriage and 2 kids and my wife has this on preorder for our 1st wedding anniversary gift.
Yeah he'll be replacing mp10 on the shelf but never in my heart. He got me into mp. It was the start of a great journey all leading back to optimum prime. All full circle.
I think mp10 will be moved to my season 3 shelf and stand back to back with mp10b. He's old he's a bit tired and soon to be outdated but man that thing did his time and did it proud.
Looking forward to 44. Keep the peace brothers and sisters.

Yup, my copy has floppy arms, weak ab crunch, loose pins for the backpack panel holding the barrel and feet. Apparently a problem with the first-run production as some pointed out in the MP Appreciation thread. Which reminds me, I haven't gotten alerts for it in a while.

    Goals. :D

the only problem with my megatron figure is a loose leg piece, at the thigh rotation, but that's it.

oh and a little paint, where it looks like megatron has a wart, but other than that, my masterpiece figures are perfect, nothing wrong with them, other than shattered glass mp10 for whatever reason he is loose as hell.

i hope the issues are just gonna be the paint chipping on mp 44, that's all.
