Since both Skalor and Nautilator are Blot retools, I'm at least hoping that they have different transformations. Blot transformed in a manner that was quite different from Rippersnapper, which was a plus in my book. I would support Nautilator's tail piece is probably a weapon for robot mode, but it doesn't seem to look like any weapon used by his G1 toy.

I would say it looks to be on the level of retooling that was done to turn Rippersnapper into Blot, but that's my opinion.

Not really, these prices are on par for Takara

For Takara, yes. But it's stopping them from being viable at pricepoints that'd make them more accessible (namely, retail).

And they’d never be a retail release here anyway. They were always a Takara initiated project that was unlikely to see a domestic release, however saying that their pricing would make them unable to fit American retail pricing you’d be mistaken. The Takara legends g2 megatron sold for $54 on bbts with no molding changes from the $25 hasbro version except the inclusion of a titanmaster vehicle. Takara deluxes from the same timeframe were $30-$40 with remolding. The price of the seacons are pretty standard for Takara releases meaning if hasbro wanted to mass release them then they’d probably price the same as hasbro retail releases based solely on the consistency of hasbro and Takara pricing.

This'll be my placeholder until then. I'll be fine waiting while I have this. Poseidon just doesn't do it for me as he looks way too "squat" for me.

Although I'm sure someone will post a bunch of squatty looking King Poseidon pics from Masterforce:lol

You're going to likely be waiting a while. There hasn't been a *sniff* of 3P Seacons since TFC finished their Poseidon.

The pictures show that this is the case: Skalor is like Blot, with the robot mode curled up in ball. Nautilator meanwhile is flat, the robot with the waist turned 180°, the upper legs retracted into the lower legs and the robot laid on it's front.

    Neither does Skalor's tail gunn

TFC's Seacons have great style, as do most of their releases. But these will be much more accurate. I prefer the accuracy since almost everything else I own now is very accurate thanks to the line advancing over the last few years. What we used to need 3rd parties to provide is being provided fairly well officially.

It's a rebuild of Silverbolt's Combiner Wars mold, much like in the Terrorcons.

I plan to buy Skalor for alt mode and using Blot mold in robot mode is great,Snaptrap just maybe not sure.... only combiner torso could really convince me to buy him and he's also exprensive, hope that in the US will have regular distribution.
Now I wait for Overbite ,if OK I'll proceed at first :)  then both him and Skalor can be used with Hun-Gurrr and my other Terrorcons to create a new combiner.
