As of right now it has 2576 backers with under 16 days to go... I doubt it is going to be successful.. $600 is just way too mush to ask us to spend on one giant figure, Hasbro. And I DID buy the Shuraking! LOL But that is comprised of separate transforming figures as well...

I placed my order but it doesn't look like it will be funded. Pity, looks really awesome (kibble doesn't bother me)

Remember, the sail barge looked like this too before it was radically funded. Plus, the big name retailers haven't placed their orders yet. I was lucky number 16 to place an order so I'm up for getting people excited about this!

I will be. There are a lot of reasons why this figure is important. A lot of them have to do with the creator.

I’m buying 3 for a start. I want two opened for display in each form robot and planet modes. Then one sealed. I may add a few to sell or trade down the road. Depending on my funds.

Anyone who already ordered their limit of 5 and still wants to ensure they get up to 8000 may feel free to buy me one. ;)

10 days to go with 2834 / 8000 backers. I would be really surprised if this made it.

that is alot of ground to make up in a very small amount of time, my suggestion is, if they dont make it this time around offer it up but this time give us a good amount of time to save, i mean really the amount of time we got was not reasonable by any stretch of the imagination, this needed a good 6 months backing behind it.

Just look at it as a scale, the more money something costs the more time you need to put on the other scale to balance this shit out, we know about apeface a good 4 to 5 months before he comes out and hes a voyager and yet people like me prep our accounts so we can buy him when its time.

I'm gonna have to get it through BBTS since I just got hit with some unexpected bills. It sucks to pay more but it's what I have to do.

Yeah, seriously. To drop this right around the "back to school" season and then give only a month was pretty stupid planning. This needed to go for a few months and drop at NYCC and go until December, at least. I'm was worried they would mucked it up somehow, from build quality to paint apps. I really wish they would have started with something smaller, for me the TF design team needs to earn my money back from the issues from the last few years. They've STARTED to do that but the trust isn't there for me.

It is what it is. And crowd funding campaigns don't follow a pattern of linear progression. The rush is always at the end and is usually much larger than anyone expects. Though I won't deny that the possibility of failure still exists, I will say that the heavy hitters haven't put their orders in yet. And there are still those on the fence or gathering the last bit of what they need (and also those who fear that they will miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity). I was the sixteenth person to back Unicron and I have no regrets no matter how this turns out.

I'll remain hopelessly optimistic until the end. Call me a fool, but a happy fool. Because what other kind of fool is there?

If this thing gets produced, Hasbro should include 1 to 2 foot blast effects for Unicron blowing up.

After leaning no but leaving the door open, I have now firmly decided on no.

For one, I cannot justify spending $600 on a plastic toy. Could I make do to afford it? Probably, but that's not a precedent I want to set for myself.

Tying into that, I can't justify letting this take up space in my house. I'm basically at capacity with my Transformers collecting so I just can't really swing making more room to display this and only this.

But mostly I made my decision after seeing the transformation video. This think just looks like a nightmare to actually handle.

I hope it gets funded, because it would be great for the people who backed it, but I can't make the leap myself. If it was half the price and half the size, I very possibly would.

I spent $600 on the third party Shuraking dinobot combiner. So I'm already there.

I admit what I really want is just Unicron's head... 27 inches tall. Or as big as they can make for ~$150 price point. It then simply unfolds to be a massive playset of Unicron's interior like in the season 3 episodes.

$300, maybe. More than half a grand? Hell no.

Besides, if this toy does end up happening, I'm just gonna wait until it hits Ollie's.

Dear Hasbro - Add a tiny Galvatron as well as a matching voyager galvatron and I'm going to seriously consider.....

I have no interest in this project. Not because of the price tag, although that would give me pause, but because I am not a big enough fan of the Unicron character to incorporate a figure of that size into my collection. Now, if it was Omega Supreme or Metroplex that would be another story.
