And that was all *taped* off and painted, you say? Good lord. You've got the patience of [reference to a 'Bot known for being unbelievably patient]. Incredibly impressive.
Seeing your work here, I'm astounded by just how many details were hidden beneath Trypticon's bland retail color scheme. Great work bringing each and every tidbit to life! I tell you, if Trypticon had looked this good right out of the box, I would never have passed on it!
the work you did on this is simply amazing. it makes me want to tear mine down and start the paint job. i just finished rebuilding and repainting my metroplex so i know how these things can be quite an undertaking to say the least. your work is fantastic and it will inspire others on this board. i also had one quick question before i go. what are and where did the little gun turrets on his knee come from? those things complement him so well.....thanks
Finding exactly know what they're from guessing they're from a star wars vehicle and a GI Joe figure I'll do some research and try to figure out where they came fro. And I'll message you back
Daaayyyummmm that looks insane!! I'd happily drop 200 quid if he looked like that. Definitely a labour of love.
Thank you everyone for your comments if anyone has any tips or suggestions feel free to send me a message. I am currently touching up me generations metroplex so I will be posting it in the next couple of weeks. And once again thank you all for your comments
Awesome work. I've put mine on hold after doing the right leg/arm section. Did you airbrush that or handpaint?
I actually hand painted metroplex but I did a combination of rattle can and oil base markers on trypticon
