In my experience, after the early adopters paid full price, there was little market for MPs until you hit ~$25 where the KOs were priced. I really doubt there were many people going "if he drops six more dollars, then I'll buy him!"

 

This sale has made me to cave on a looot of stuff. Finally threw down for TR Overlord and the wave 1 Siege leaders, and I also ordered TR Trypticon... no idea why that took me so long given that I voted for him back in 2016. Maybe it's because I recently got Brunt and he feels incomplete without the big guy? I dunno man. I'm just glad I'll finally have Decepticon Mechagodzilla in my life.

 

Oh, those! (Thank you, btw.) Somebody in the design wing loves them some T&A... I think a woman would collapse in on themselves if they were built like that.

Thank you! That's a fantastic bargain. The peg which holds the legs together in alt mode on my Onslaught broke off years ago, and for this price I can can justify replacing him. I'll just keep Scattershot sealed until I have a purpose for him.

 

Does Snarl scale at all with Studio Series? Kinda tempted since he's closer to his film colors, even if still not accurate

 

any idea if BBTS holds true to their estimates? MPM Jazz says it is estimated to arrive 3rd quarter 2019 but that’s almost over. or should i expect it at the actual release date (November 1st)

 

I never go off their estimates, most of my preorders usually end up getting pushed back month after month. This is especially true with stuff like DC Multiverse & NECA.

They do their best. Toy companies have really slipped in the last 7-8 years. Rule of thumb is: Bandai and Takara (real Takara, not this Hasbro pretending to be Takara they're doing with MPs now) are usually on time. Mezco, add four months minimum. Hasbro, add two months (but don't _count_ on it if your budget's tight). Everybody else, assume at least one month.

Also, anybody waiting for DCC Icons Batgirl to go on sale, she's 20% off now. I picked up another because I can't bear to open the one I paid full price for.

 

In my experience, whoever is supplying BBTS seems to be asleep at the wheel. They used to get stuff in before most other sites, but TFS, who used to be infamous for getting stock way after all the other big sites now often gets it BEFORE the others. I think they moved location, no idea if that's to do with it.

It's even more frustrating when you see reports of items being found in the wild at retail and they aren't available online for at least a month, two months sometimes. I'm not sure why toy distribution is so sporadic (right now, my Walmart has some leftover Chromias, Dropkicks, a G1 reissue or two...and there are like a dozen empty pegs and two empty shelves, not even kidding).

And ahem, even TT isn't perfect, to address the concerns of others. Hound WAS supposed to be out this year, but he slipped to January, for example.

And I think we all know to never ever expect third party items to be out when the company says they'll be out.

 

It's because Walmart and Amazon have everyone by the balls especially with TRU being gone in the US and other places. They were sort of a sanity check. Without it stuff ships when Walmart or Amazon say.
