Meh...making a label set for mine worked just fine, lol. That stripe puts this mold over the top for me.

Ah, no...your spine also flexes. Your torso can bend forward without moving your hips at all

Where did all these third party comes from anyways? Didn’t know that they had such talented bunch of engineers to design these figures for them. When I was collecting transformers last, which was a few years ago, none of the knock offs were as good as these and I was pretty turned off with third parties, non official figures.

Dude, its grown leaps and bounds over anything we've seen a few years ago. Just look at the oversized Black Apple Optimus. Or this TE01! Then there's DX9 Hot Rod. Such amazing figures!

third parties have come leaps and bounds. use to only collect offical stuff. as of 2013 i still buy the official stuff but not at the rate i'm buying third parties. you work hard for you money get a toy that has better material, closer to the comic and cartoon especially g1 stuff. Fanstoys, xtransbot, dx9 etc all leading the pack. also they have pushed hasbro to up their game and the siege line is quite good. I am very happy with the sieze line but won't stop me from getting third party toys

Only slightly, and it's bad for your back. You bend from your hips.

i can confirm with over 17 years of chronic pain and an op that left me in more pain and having spinal chord stimulation done soon that bending over without using your legs it can contribute to fucking your back

Has anyone painted Transform Element TE-01 / Optimus Prime’s waist hinges to match? What paint/colour did you use?

That looks miles better. One of the thing that bothered me about this figure the most is that why are the hinges grey and not white. Such a small chance that has a huge impact. What the hell were TE thinking really.

We're talking about ab crunch for dynamic posing, not heavy lifting, lol. If your spine was fused straight you'd be as stiff as these bots, lol. Your spine constantly flexes and bends for a wide range of torso movement; youd be surprised how fucked your mobility would be without it. I used to work as an anatomical illustrator and there is a LOT to learn about how the human body works...subtleties that you never appreciate, really.

Ouch man, I feel your pain. Sledping on the couch and in bed on stomach with pillow under my head fucked my back so bad couldn't do anything for over 2 weeks. Every step I took my I stopped breathing. Don't wanna imagine the pain of having that 24/7. I know people like that to, not even 30 but walking with a cane and only going outside when he can take the pain. My empathy levels go soaring whenever I see him...

My point is it doesn't go 90°. Or anywhere close to that. And most of the bend comes from the upper and lower part of the middle of your spine. The lower part only bends slightly.

Even for dynamic posing a slight bend would have been sufficient (for those hip thrust anime poses).
No need to completely break the mold like some gladiator tore him apart.

When you put it like that, I'm with you. Quite frankly, I don't personally think ab crunch adds that much to posing anyway. I'd actually prefer a side to side motion so you could pose contrappasto--hips and shoulders at opposing angles. That goes a much longer way toward natural looking poses.

I would've disagreed with that a few months ago, but since getting the Final Victory Huffer I think you're absolutely right. To be fair he has some crunch too but its minor. The Greek statue effect is very aesthetically pleasing and breathes alot more life into the poses. The more limited articulation is what put me off TE in favor of MS, sculpt wise the TE Primes look better to me.
