From what I hear the dotm Optimus has much better tolerances compared to ss32. The trailer pack is definitely worth $20, and since you can paint it'll probably be really nice. It might not be worth it though if you don't have any need for the trailer tech. You could save some buck by getting just the base figure if that's your choosing.

Thanks! I remember a 3P company selling Prime's DotM blaster (in strange off-color options) on eBay a while back. I'm pretty sure they were scaled for voyager class, but for the life of me I cannot recall who they were!

DW-M04, also from Dr. Wu. Came in a bunch of solid and translucent colors, built yourself cut from sprues just like a model kit. I have one with my Tax Evasion Optimus, both somewhere in a box since he broke.

 

You mean that thing? I've had it in my watched list for a while and can't seem to justify the price of a modern deluxe for one single gun. Maybe someday soon I'll give in and buy one.

My thoughts as well, and the fact you have to build it yourself... After all this time and it's still expensive too.

You know, I'd actually love to see the nitro Zeus/ksi boss mold repurposed into a movie shockwave. It probably wouldn't replicate exactly what he looked like in dotm, but I think it would look super cool nonetheless!

 

Does anyone know if 2020 is going to be the last year for Studio Series?
