I love it... they got the balance of old and new parts just right for continuity of design lineage across their caboverengine Optimus designs.

Does anyone else's figure have like, almost scarily tight arm armor going on and off?

Got mine today. I should be able to take a few pictures tomorrow.

It's a really nice figure, but it really stands out how bad the instructions are, often outright skipping steps and no instructions at all for configuring the surfboard mode thing.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger myself. This was an odd purchase and I'm sure I'll have no regrets about this guy

I think that's how I would display mine.

He actually looks good and better proportioned with his waist extended in armored mode. You can't tell it's skinny because of the black silhouette from the jet back. Try it.

I really wish they or anyone else, would make an MP scale of this figure. Hands down my favorite prime now.

Bot modes is an awesome updated look without the obsession of making it look like a poor 80s animation yet still maintaining that nostalgic look. Armored up mode is just plain BAD ASS and retains enough posability (unlike DOTM Utimate Optimus Prime).

And to top it all off, the whole thing truly has a "disguised" look when in vehicle mode. Its hard to believe that this armored up bot turns into that plain looking truck.

Never have I've seen a super prime that perfectly hit all three, the unarmored, armored and vehicle mode, like this figure does.

MakeToys God Ginrai is nice, but vehicle mode is kinda out there, and the normal prime/ginrai bot is lacking.

This is the perfect powered up Prime. Just wish he were bigger.

P.S. Oh, and the flying surf board mode is a cool added bonus. Also the ease of transformation is added FUN factor.

....gonna have to dig out my FansProject Menasor to have something in similar scale to battle.

I'm sure someone's already said this but someone at Hasbro needs to look at this, this is along the lines of what we need for future transformers films. I just love it.

Out of curiosity, could anyone recommend a flight stand for this figure? One for the 'surfboard' and one for the combined mode, or one that'd work for both, my figure's coming next week and I've never used a stand before, but from pictures I think it'd work well for this one.

So the reviewers have shown this has pretty good articulation. But how poseable is it when all armored up? More videos and pix I’ve seen show it in a pretty neutral stance. Can the cannon be held in any position other than down to the side, or is it too heavy? Can those who’ve purchased show off any good, dynamic poses? That’s probably the deciding factor for me. I LOVE the core figure, and the design of the armored figure, but I’ll probably pass if I can’t leave it displayed in a nice pose.

If PE decides to continue on doing more movie/G1 designs it'd be cool that if they decide to do another Optimus figure in that vein,it could be a fusion of his G2 and AOE/TLK design

According to the review by Ben's Collectables the combined mode retains all the articulation of the individual modes although the ab crunch and knee movement are somewhat impeded by the armour, though certainly what they showed of the leg articulation it's still bends more than the Siege Optimus-es? Optimi? You know what I mean.

Nah, ab crunch works the same in both modes, just have to extend the joint. But don't break it, Emgo's review shows exactly how much you can extend the mid section. A little over a centimeter imo. I like to leave it extended in armored up mode. Can't tell its skinny as the black silhouette of the jetpack hides the view pretty well.

I think this will how mine will inevitably be displayed. I mostly collect primes and like to display Voyager/MP scale figures with their Deluxe/Legends counter part so I can see both modes at once and still not have double dipped on a figure.

Got mine today. Here are some photos of the unarmoured mode before I go out. Sorry in advance for the terrible amateur photography.

Here he is with my other PEs (I don't have a lot).

And because I love them, here he is with MMC's Eupatorium (horrible mould but ehhh)

Per Emgo's review... Looks like the Jinrai is compatible.

the battle station trailer from Cyberverse prime kinda works. If the trailer had slightly bigger wheels to get it off the ground a bit more it would be perfect.
