76D764E2-94C5-4282-BE52-4BC475ED8E9F.jpeg We will see how it all shakes out with MP-44. I’m content with my TE-01 Optimus, and never really liked MP-10 much (so I was always going to give a pass on MS-01).

Then I saw the MP-10G Ecto-35 Prime, and I HAD to get this version of prime. Can’t pass on the granddaddy of the Ghostbusters/Transformers mashup. Pairs with the Ectotron like peanut butter and jelly.

@ChromeMagnus I think you're the best deal hound on the forum, so curious what the best price is that you've seen for Takara MP-44. Are the Taobao sellers listing it? Or are they only listing 3P products? If they do list it, I'll be curious to see how close their price might be to the price Takara charges to retailers. (For 3P products it's often very close, sometimes even below.)

Nobody gets the price Takara gives their retailers. Since their only allowed to sale them in Japan everyone else's comes from Hasbro Asia. I would guess maybe 385-400 before shipping. I doubt domestic sellers here are making very much profit

Hasbro/Takara is one of those brands that don't offer deep discounts even on Taobao. I'm not sure who has the best deal for MP-44 at the moment especially since I cancelled my preorder a couple weeks back. I'll wait and see how the inevitable KO MP-44 options stack up.

I almost bought the Takara yesterday. Then I lined up my primes and couldn’t justify mp44’ price tag.

MP-44's release has kind of sneaked up on me. Didn't really realize it's a week away, but I'm ready to hopefully check it out next week. At this point I've basically spent the same amount of money on TE-01 (got 3 versions-batch 1, batch 2, nemesis) as I will on MP-44 from Amazon Japan, so price won't be much of a consideration for me. I'm optimistic that MP-44 will be a cool toy. I have reservations about the huge backpack and how the back of the legs look, but I'm excited to find out how I like it in person.

    Bring on MP-44!

I hope MP-44 gets a quality KO. The more I look at it the more I like it, but with both TE-01 and MS-01 in-hand, I can't justify its price.

I think it's pretty much nailed on. Only thing concerning me is how much they'll try and push the price up. Got a feeling it'll still cost around $200 which would be a piss take.
