Some posts back, somebody said that Hasbro reps were in near-daily conversations with retailers, monitoring orders.
So which is?
- Hasbro knows retail numbers?
- Hasbro doesn't know retail numbers?

As stated, communication from Hasbro sucks on this campaign. Fans and social media are largely left to their own devices.

 

It's not actually "worked into the cost" for this anymore than it is for any other product on the page. The free shipping is the same service as what they offer for everything else, which is a low cost for business shipping offered by FedEX that everyone except probably Amazon uses (and BBTS who offer it for the $4 price instead of free). It's not like Hasbro is bringing these all to the counter and shipping them one by one at Ground shipping price, these will be shipped the same Super Saver shipping way as normal, and the same that in two years people are going to be on here complaining that their box is in a town across state but it's still going to take a week or more for it to find itself on a truck to get to you.

 

They said they were keeping track of them, not adding them to the backer list. This is because those sites will order on the last few days of the campaign.

 

Yeah, communication is reasonable because then they can get a reasonable estimate of their targets and gauge how much more advertisement/engagement they may need to create to push it over the edge. But they're not going to lock it down at this point because the numbers aren't locked-in/officialized. If you've got multiple sources doing tallying and record keeping, that's a good way to get it all scrambled.

 

Conservative estimates would be better than nothing at all.

 

Constant communication does not equal actual orders placed

 

The conservative estimate is zero extra orders placed. Done. Isn't it better to be surprised by extra orders at the last minute putting it over the top than thinking it's a done deal and having any number of orders drop out at the end making the campaign fail?

I think we can add the 200+ orders someone mentioned several days ago that have been placed in China as well.

 

I enjoy a good debate, but if it's going to be received as baiting, trolling, and whatever other combative buzz words you're throwing out, I'd rather not participate. Peace, my dude.

 

I'm really curious to know who would have half of the official order site. It'd have to be large, but I can't imagine it being BBTS/etc (US retailers) at a price of $200 over Pulse. I'm wondering if that is the Takara Mall number. (And that would put a damper on the idea that Asia will pick up the NA slack.)

It's great Uni will ship from QC. If he shipped from the States, you would be taking your chances...Hasbro wouldn't collect the taxes but the border will (along with their handling fee) And GST on 575 USD is considerable...but since it's not going to be an issue for supporters, no worries.

People who are planning on possibly waiting for the run to happen first and then order him from a third party USA seller, though, should keep this in mind.

But...let's be honest, if you can afford Uni, you can afford the taxes too.

Are they going to add shipping cost later or ship directly from hasbro? ( or do they estimate a shipping cost? )
