Finally got some pics of this guy. It's a great representation of the G1 toy. Even the lines on the car where the parts move match up with the G1 toy. At $52 shipped its a worthy purchase. Tons of pics with some comparisons with MT Bounceback. Click the thumbnails.

I didn't see this in the instructions, so here are pics of the gun storage for vehicle mode. It fills in the gap on the underside nicely.

Hello everyone! I was wanting to buy Hova on the cheap, and I came across this listing on ebay.

$46 seems cheap for something regularly selling for $55-$60, but the seller seems to have enough experience and ratings to negate any suspicious feelings. Could it be that this is a reject sample that's selling for cheap, or am I overly paranoid about this? What do you guys think about this?

Boy, I dunno. Only 62 reviews? Even at 100% that wouldn't be enough to negate any suspicious feelings over a "price to good to be true".
Now if s/he had 100% and had something like bababobo00712's 19,820 reviews and a price like that then I'd probably take the chance.

    Always check the negative.

Found a MakeToys Thundercracker for $77. Sounded real good. Read the negative...did not buy. And check the positive because those can be faked. If an item has been purchased recently it would still appear as a page you could look at, but fake ones show no page on the link that's is with the review.

Hm......the only negative I see was about 6 months ago, but I think I'd be willing to take a chance out on this one. There's also another seller that I saw that had about 2500+ ratings and was selling Hova for about $59. It's out of my budget range regardless, but do you think I should take a chance on other sellers that have better feedback at a slightly higher price? There's few sellers that are in my range of budget, so that's all I have to add.

Check the seller against the list of rogues pinned to the top of this forum. I believe there's a listing for sellers to beware of. If his Positive feedback for the top, I'd say 5 to 10 items sold, show actual items pages that were listed, then you could assume they're real.

I leave that to you. :)

I'm gonna be picking one up tomorrow. What's the fandom's general sentiment towards Agent Meister now?

    I like it.

Maybe not the most flexible figure for dynamic posing but he looks good on a shelf with the MP10 era. And the alt mode is exceptional.

I have one and love the alt mode, but to me the chest is too wide and the shoulders are out too far if you don't have the wheels above them. Straight on front pose you really notice it, but when you start angling and a more dynamic pose it tends to make it a little more aesthetically pleasing.

Doesn't quite transform and doesn't roll out, or anywhere. Looks spectacular.

I like him, not the best figure, not the worst one either. I just wish they came up with a better shoulder locking design. Can be a pain to get the proper angle to lock them in. Other than that, it's a pretty solid figure & looks great with the other autobots.

Shoulders were what bugged me in videos, thought people might've found solutions. Considering how little I plan to mess with him, though, might be worth a shot. There were design choices on Downbeat that I wasn't sold on, so I'm thinking of Meister as an affordable stand-in until Takara can somehow acquire the license.

The shoulders in standard config is really ok. Not bad. But g1 toy look is hell to pull off. Not worth it, IMO. Looks a bit better, but i wont bother with it again

I got him! The alt mode looks absolutely gorgeous. The transformation was actually pretty smooth, even the shoulder part.

Ok guys I'm really stuck here between transform and roll out Jazz or Zeta toys Jazz. Both are exactly the same price and I'll never be able to afford Downbeat make toys so it down to these 2. I have watched countless reviews of them both over and over again, and read this 116 page thread right through lol trying to get my answer, more swayed towards transform and roll out as the quality control issues put me off with zeta dont fancy it coming with broken hips out of the box plus the head flap even though he has better poseablty and alternate head. I remember my G1 jazz was so fragile maybe it's just a Jazz thing. Help! I just dont know what to do!

Strangely enough I ordered this guy back in March but it turned out to be a scam luckily on Ebay so did eventually get my money back. So I thought maybe things happen for a reason maybe I'm meant to get zeta jazz instead? But after reading this thread I think I should stick with this one. I stick with Ebay sellers I have only used before these days.
I think I will use a little chrome tamiya acrylic on his face, shins and lower body as I like that on the zeta one. I do like a mixture of toy/toon MP

I have Downbeat and Agent Meister. The former for my G1 carbot display, and the latter 'cause Jazz was one of my two favourites and I wanted a version that was more like the G1 toy (wheels up). What I can tell you about Agent Meister is that as a stand alone figure he looks fantastic, but amongst other '84 based figures, his wider proportions single him out just a shade; however, in regards to height, he's spot on, whereas I believe Toyworld/Zeta's was noticeably taller.

I have all 3 jazz figures and have messed enough with all of them that I can tell you easily that the Zeta figure is the worst imo. Transformation is terrible and very frustrating, on top of that you have all the QC issues. I only transformed it once and it is full of paint chips everywhere. Besides the issue with the shoulder connections, Meister is a much better figure all around. Transformation is easy and the head sculpt is better looking.
