Personally, since the engineering is the same I’d consider it a (heavy) remold.

    But that’s just me.

I've always considered dogs "dragons" since the dragon in The Never Ending Story kind of looked like a dog.

Not a remold. Not a repaint. More of a reassembly since it borrows from here and there and adds a little new. Who gives a shit as long as it's a good figure?

So, Mirage, Hound, and Wheeljack are all amazing right? Planning on ordering the three tonight. And here’s another Wheeljack edit:

This is a really smart remold of their sunstreaker. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Five years ago, I wouldn’t have believed you if you said I would enjoy legends size figures as much as I do. I wouldn’t have believed they could produce figures that small expressive or poseable enough for me to enjoy them. But here I am, six figures in with the Hound that just arrived, and itching to pull the trigger on Hex Wrench. Such a fun line.

Yeah, standing them next to each other, in hand, they definitely don't seem like a similar mold. They share a transformation sequence, but since the individual pieces are all so different they just don't seem the same. So even though WJ and SS transform the same, to me Rushbeats seems closer to the Sideswipe mold despite the different transformation, than Hexwrench seems like Sunstreaker.

Cool car mode too. Heh, and you know, its not until I was looking at these pictures right now that I realized the spoiler says Iron Factory on it.

Oh, its basically the Zeta Toys Display base in black. Well, technically, it was Toy World branded when I got it- when I bought the TW Coneheads, they came with 2 of these display bases (its been so long though I can't remember if that was normal, or part of some special TFSource was doing at the time). I originally had 6, but I had the figure connector break of a peg in three of them, so I like tossed those out all, "Well, this display base is useless now, I don't need it!"

I unfortunately didn't think at the time how you could connect the panels together to form backdrops, so I'm kicking myself now for getting rid of some of them. Alas, they seem to be sold out everywhere, though it looks like Toy Dojo still has some purple ones in stock, 2 for $20:

    https://www.toydojo.com/zeta-toys-ex-zeta-display-base-purple/

There was actually a thread on them here at some point (wait, I found it):

ToyWorld and Zeta Display Base- Chain Base

Looking through that thread, it looks there's a KO of these by a company called Magic Scenery, but doing a quick search, those seem to be sold out everywhere too.

In the same boat. Haven't picked up Hound yet either and selling off my Sixshot/Overlord/Dai Atlas.. I think I'm gonna just keep it to the G1ish first and second season stuff unless it's DJD.

anyone on the fence should definitely pick up wheeljack. i just grabbed him like 20 mins ago and he is a great little fig. the small updates that he has over the previous carbots is nice to see and it shows that they are constantly moving forward. the face sculpts are also really nice and detailed. he also has a great set of hands that just make me want to jump into his arms...lol

iron factory is only getting stronger with each new release.

Jacky boy has been pre ordered a while back, just hasn't arrived yet at my local dealer.

Hope he arrives together with Kallaite.

    Wheeljack is a stunner.

I really can't wait to see the next wave of IF figures.

He's sitting ready in my TFSource stack... but I just recently sent myself a shipment, so I'll have to wait for a few more figures to come in before I can get him QQ
