just got mine from pulse [ordered thursday night] and damn, he's amazing!

 

A 3rd party NEEDS to make a new head with flippable goggles. And maybe new hands with wrist swivels at least.

I’d buy a new head for sure. This is a beautiful figure overall and I enjoy it but they really did kind of Peter out on the head. Flippable or removable (or both) goggles is all it needs to be great.

Wrist swivel would be nice too.

You did some nice work on that hand mod. That's the way it shoulda came to us.

Better observation, where did you abscond that beam effect from? Thats a dead ringer for a proton stream IMO

 

It's from the Playmobil Ghostbusters line. It's a little too big to fit, so there's some putty in there to make it stay put.

 

Just picked him up from the hasbro pulse restock and i love him!! The alt mode is amazing and the robot mode feels like an old school cybertron toy in the best ways. I love how many joints they shoved in his arms too, so much good articulation. The proton pack is really cool even if it is pretty sparse on the paint. The only thing i wish he had wrist swivels. If he had thos hed be able to hold the wand in both hands.

Decided to take some shots with my lego ideas set and holy moly they are perfect scale! The two ecto-1s are also super close accuracy wise, but it does highlight where theres two important missing paint apps on ectotron, his rear license plate and Ghostbusters logo on the trunk.

I got mine yesterday, FedEx just left it on porch without warning.

I love the alt mode so much I haven’t transformed him. Maybe it because of the nostalgia of a TF being packed as a vehicle. The box is simply amazing, made me feel a lot younger, especially the simplified transformation steps panel. The instructions scheme is great with the slime green.

though I gotta ask, since it caught my attention in the last two pics... was that Markiplier playing Oregon Trail!? xD

 

Thanks man! Prolly one of the main reasons i wanted to pick it up was to put it with my lego boys.

And naw not oregon trail but very similar graphics, he was playing Faith chapter 1.

 

Dammit, restocked and gone again...  

 

I’ve got no real complaints about this being a re-used/modified sculpt. The price doesn’t bother me, either. This figure is SO great as a Ghostbusters fan and as a appreciate-as-much-as-my-budget-allows MP Transformers fan.

The blue hose could’ve been a tad more flexible... and maybe had a couple hard plastic clasps on it to plug into the vehicle. But that’s a small nitpick. And four mini Ghostbusters would’ve been great, even in static action poses.

However: Does anybody else have a problem keeping the proton pack on his back, though?

 

Managed to get this guy in & out of packaging without cutting the ties!

Great figure. Not as "playable" or poseable as the Siege line (which is spoiling me..), but an all around great addition to my collection. Will cherish the box, for sure!

 

I see a lot of people saying "remold/retool" about this figure but honestly IMO he's neither of these. His transformation scheme, thighs, and biceps, and that's it.

tbh I feel does enough to make Ectotron much more than a mere remold/retool.

 

... but does anybody else have a problem keeping the proton pack on?

 

For anybody interested, I figured out a non-permanent solution to getting the proton pack to stay on when in robot mode. As somebody who likes to fiddle around with his toys, that thing falling off constantly was getting old.
