Little known fact, the Giant Squid was actually Claw Jaw's mum! Kup was his dad, and she was just giving him a bit of a beating for being late with the child support payment. Then Hot Rod shows up and blinds the poor thing.

This is why Claw Jaw and Hot Rod never got on.

Just finished my scratch-build Trailer for my Siege Optimus Prime.

 

Been a slow week for any kind of hobby building, but I managed to do a little more work on Furai IDW Prime. I have a bogus mix of a brownish gray paint I'm using for another kit that will work just fine on here for painting over the gaps and exposed underside spaces that will match the joint colors.



Cemented and sanded the Ion Blaster, and will detail paint it along with the rest of Prime as I go.
Cleaned up the grill, wiping the excess accent wash with paint thinner without removing the silver paint underneath. Set in the windshields and starting to paint the Matrix molded into the chest. Using dull silver I coated the whole Matrix's surface, and I'll put some clear orange over the center casing..

 

Nice work! Maybe add some detail to the wheels? They look a little out of place.

Seriously though, these are gorgeous! I bought a few Animated figures again a while back and while I don't think they hold up quite as well as I remember, you've really got me hankering to get a few more. That photo of Megatron and Starscream on the Nemesis bridge is particularly beautiful. Not to mention Soundwave!
