That was my original plan, until MP-36+ was announced. Then I realised an MP-44+ was a given.

If I'm gonna have a toy-accurate Prime, I want it with the same glorious tampos and head sculpt that TT brought to 36+. Like @chchchch's digibash:

It's true that in terms of proportions MP-10 matches certain aspects of the toy better, though. And he does look great with yellow eyes:

In my eyes MP-10 was always a placeholder for me. I personally like MP-01 more but sold it off to fund MP-10 since it was out of scale. I kind of regret getting rid of MP-01. I don't feel that way about MP-10, had no problem selling him to fund MP-44.

I won't ever be selling MP-44. To me it's the Prime I have wanted since I was 5 years old.

O might QC gods, please protect our precious MP-44 from paint chipping, loose joints, bent pieces and wrong parts, and give us something durable and can last a lifetime. (I don't know if anyone did this before, but it's just a mantra for luck just in case).

I agree. Also because MP-10, while certain aesthetics and design is there, the performance is lacking. And all those tampographs. I’ve been looking at @chchchch’s digi of him again and I’m really hoping that it’s something like that.

See, that looks like the toy which MP-10 is the evolution of, while MP-44 is the 'toon'. This looks...not pretty?

[Thanks guys!! :D  ] It does make a lot of sense to think of MP-10 as the natural evolution of the original toy. However, I'm with you two...I find the sleek anime-like proportions of the toon molds combined with the original toy decos to be perfect marriages...and it works, in my mind anyway, as both aspects are born from 80s Japanese manga/anime/mecha culture. That's why I keep finding the toy + editions to be the most interesting subject for digibash visualizations!

Really impressive collection. I have been collecting for 20 years and don’t even have what you have divided by 100.

I wish I could drive to a shop to buy my figures...

I hope there won’t be any major QC issues too.

Well said sir, I definitely think there'll always be a place for MP 10 in my collection. My all time dream Prime is a toy accurate MP 44+. But even once we get that, I'm still hanging on to my MP 10. It will always be one of the best Primes around.

Plus the toy +’s feel even more like weird manga robot creations with all their sharp lines and dope patterns.

Just a quick question, who do you guys think will hold the title of MP-50? I'm thinking Starscream 3.0

Since we're showing our collections and shelving in preparation for 44's arrival, here are a few shots of mine. They're Ikea stainless steel shelves that are sadly now out of production (I wanted to get a couple for my son's room). Stole the idea from our MVP, Sam. Can't wait to have new Optimus, new Bumblebee, Hound, Bluestreak+, and Smokescreen+ on these suckers!

Prime will probably sport his s2/Movie head most of the time on these shelves since he'll be surrounded by those characters. The s1 head and other accessories will get all the attention with my second copy.

    Won't be long...!

Hell yes. I've done some googling and it's possible to get similar shelves from other companies, so all is not lost (except for you and me, who want shelves that match exactly what we have :lol )

    And yeah, two weeks!

    Screenshot 2019-08-16 at 16.23.29.png

Though I can imagine this actually being available in some shops on Friday the 30th, so we might get some in-hand photos just before then.

Can't believe it's finally here
