Yeah, I'm starting to not feel as optimistic as I'd like to be.

I've already ordered 1. I can't really afford, 2 but was tempted. If it looks like it will matter, I'll order a 2nd- but only if it looks like it will matter. That's a lot of money (even though I'd surely be able to sell one again later).

The transformers fandom is dwarfed by the Star Wars fandom...by a fair margin.

It’s a very real possibility Unicron will not make it

Give us a G1 Galvatron inspired figure that doesn’t suck.

I 100% agree. If the broken glass eye panels are silver instead of the proper green I’ll be upset. I’m still getting this toy but the extras are a joke so far.

I’m a Takara purist. And while I know half of the design team that worked on this project is from Takara I know (assume) it’s hasbro calling the shots on cost cutting practices. The eyes should be green. There’s no exception there.

I know this was a bit back since the thread moves along so fast, but I'd like to apologize. I'm incredibly defensive in this thread (a shortcoming of mine) as well as having that exact "don't tell us what to do" line thrown at me twice this month, so I'm a little apprehensive as well as defensive.

I'm sorry I get so snippy sometimes. I didn't want you to think I was that angry over a toy. It's not worth it.

OK I am definitely down for this. But not until the end of the month. Gotta work a gadzillion hours of overtime the next few week to bump up my transformer budget accordingly. Bet I'm not alone in that regard. One can't cough up such a large chunk of change on impulse.

No problem, I understand these Unicron threads seem to heat up fast.

In fact, Warden said at SDCC this year that they plan on many more Titans.

Surprised me. Because from my POV, they’d run out aside from re-dos or redecos or alternate scale takes on Optimus, like, say, G.I.Joe compatible TFs.

Right now, I have to scratch my head to think of what else. I can see Scorponok. Maybe Dai Atlas again. A new Metroplex in the foreseeable future. Teletraan with a botmode? Quintessa as a Generations version of the movie character who maybe turns into the planetoid and something like the Quintesson court?

But they’re hung-ho on more anyway.

I agree, it's definitely CHUGS anyone expecting something more than a super titan will likely be disappointed. I think the figure looks good, but not 600$ worth to me. I hope it gets made for the backers and I'm excited to see if Haslab can pull off a Transformer this big.

I'm also much more interested in the Zeta teases, I'd gladly give up some height for a more streamlined robot mode. The biggest bots in my collection approach the 2ft mark and while solid they are fairly unwieldy at times.

    Backer #2,568.
I still think I've got to be the only person in WY to back one.
Fingers crossed. I still dont think it will make it but my money is down.

Scorponok, Dai Atlas, Overlord?, a transforming Ark would be fun, accurate sized G2 megatron, maybe Monstructor

Possible titan class figure yet to do; Scorponok, Metrotitan?, Skylinx?, Raiden? Beast Machines Mega-Head? ok maybe not the last one.
But there are many possibilities, and that's ignoring the new commander scale. We could see a Commander class Overlord that actually scales with God Ginrai/ Apex Prime, or some of the other large Japanese-G1 characters. Then again who's to say that we may not get "titan class" boxes with multiple non-combining figs?

Not backing, but I still hope it succeeds. Honestly I'm waiting for the inevitable 3rd party design/ Miniaturized KO, provided this makes it. I really don't need nor have room for a planetformer this big.
