what kind of transformers game is this? any good? what is the plot?

It's G1 based, I heard it is not very good. The english dub is awful and the game play is just punch and kick, then you move on to a new area. No special challanges or anything. You can, of course, transform sometimes.

The Armada game was way better.

 

this is asked about maybe once a month or more. Whilst the playable character selection completely blows Armada's miniscule 3 out of the water, Armada is better, for graphics, music, voice, gameplay and story.

Though the Armada game is fantastic is you actually like one or more of the three characters you can play as, like me, Red Alerts my fave character from the Armada Autobots, so I use him.

 

how many characters are in the takara version? and who are they?

BY THE WAY, there is a demo disk inside TFC#9(starscream), The graphic is pretty cool, so is this the same games?

 

It sucks. Only buy it if you want it as a piece in your collection.

You can't play as the combiners. They only show up as bosses, along with the likes of Trypticon and Sky Lynx.

I was really surprised ole Omega Supreme didnt show up.
Sucked fighting Computron though, that fight was hard.

Also, It sounds as if you've done the 'play it through multiple times to unlock more stuff' thing.
Can you give us a run-down of all the Playable characters for both sides?

The Armada game was actually quite fun.
This game is trying to be a old-school beat-em up but its controls are so clunky and movement is slow.I get the tar beat out of me before I can even get near them. I did manage to beat the game eventually though. Everything these guys tell you are true. The game sucks. Thankfully I didnt buy the game myself.The levels where you need to run through a area filled with mines is really annoying and theres a timer to boot!

 

wooohooo! I'm glad this thread was started again lol. I was contemplating buying this game once before, but after reading all of these negative feeds about it I will invest my money in something else. lol  

 

game is not bad if your 5 yrs. old lol....

People who have played this game before:
"This game sucks. It's just bad. Avoid at all cost."

it didn't sell well enough to get any cheat device codes *L* the game is so lazily designed, doubt it has any in-game codes either.

 

Ironically, the exact opposite of the reactions to the Armada game.
