In all fairness to the workers, they get a million and one people who do exactly what you did. Normally, it's for them and not their kid and they make all kinds of scenes, so they're used to being abused by people and have a steely resolve about it, now. Kid or no kid, they're going to toe the line. And yes, they need to figure out a better system going on, this isn't the first time this has happened.

All this time I’ve been reading it as 6/28... your message made be think “What’s the issue... that’s today” then I realized it’s JULY 28th! That is insane. Even Hasbro Pulse is now collecting payments for preordered Springers as of yesterday I believe.

Yeah... they need to figure this out. Either people side-step it ala scanning an “allowed to purchase” figure and get around it, or they wind up shelfwarming as other stores have been selling them for over a month... to have a self-imposed street date just for a shelf reset is horrible. Particularly because there’s no change in packaging, or price point.

Dude, that SUCKS. One of my favorite experiences at a store was seeing a kid of the same age walking out with his mom and staring enraptured at his new POTP Optimus. Here's hoping junior gets his Springer soon.

Found Springer at a Target in Oregon. Didn't know there would be a problem since there is no Target back home. Stupid street date thing didn't let me buy the figure. The employee told me they were taking him off the shelf but I doubt that will happen.

I've seen people suggest you can another Voyager but take Springer, would I get in trouble for that if I get caught?

If I were to guess, the "street date" issue will probably affect all the toys revealed by Hasbro via IGN and Comicbook.com ahead of Toy Fair 2019, and those discovered via Brickseek and Amazon immediately before Toy Fair, all of which instantly went up for preorder everywhere after Toy Fair.

If you recall, there has been a problem in the past where online retailers weren't allowed to list toys for preorder even though those toys had been revealed months earlier, and even arrived at retail where they had been purchased by people with no problem. And yet, no online preorders anywhere until a certain date. If Rkillian is to be believed, that was the result of Hasbro bowing to pressure from brick and mortar retailers who wanted them to do something about the online retailers undercutting their business, because adult collectors would just preorder the new toys as soon as they could and thus never even consider buying them at retail, and so Hasbro imposed an "online preorder" street date that would (in theory) put everyone on equal footing again.

The figures revealed at Toy Fair, and only those, operated under different rules: Possibly as a special arrangement for the (re)launch of Hasbro Pulse, everyone, which included "regular" online retailers such as Amazon, BBTS, Entertainment Earth, ToyWiz, TFSource and Hasbro Pulse, as well as the brick and mortar retailers' online storefronts Walmart.com and Target.com, would list the newly-revealed figures for preorder at the same time. This oddly affected figures which were to be released in waves along with other figures that had been revealed before, or would be revealed later, and those other figures were not listed for preorder until much later.

However, it appears that this (apparently one-time only) different policy brought with it yet another annying problem: Now those specific toys were all subject to an absurdly late street date set months in advance, and despite some of them having already arrived at some stores, they're not allowed to sell them yet.

Figures in bold and black were revealed at New York Toy Fair 2019, figures in italics and blue were revealed at New York Comic-Con 2018, figures in italics and green were revealed at Australian Toy Fair 2019.

Siege Battle Masters wave 3: Caliburst, Smashdown
    Siege Micromasters wave 3: Blackjack/Hyperdrive
    Siege Micromasters wave 4: Powertrain/Highjump
Siege Deluxe Class wave 3: Red Alert, Brunt, Refraktor
Siege Deluxe Class wave 4: Mirage, Impactor, Barricade
Siege Voyager Class wave 3: Springer
Siege Voyager Class wave 4: Thundercracker
Siege Leader Class wave 2: Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime
Siege Commander Class wave 1: Jetfire
Siege Titan Class wave 1: Omega Supreme
Studio Series Deluxe Class wave 7: Drift, Hightower, Dropkick
Studio Series Voyager Class wave 7: KSI Boss, Long Haul
Studio Series Leader Class wave 3: Optimus Prime

Unless I'm mistaken, the figures in bold all went up for preorder everywhere immediately after Toy Fair but the ones in Italics didn't. And now two of the figures in bold have arrived at stores but are subject to a street date. Has anyone here encountered similar problems specifically when trying to buy Red Alert but not for Brunt or Refraktor?

This sounds right to me. It’s all a bit silly.

None, here. Red Alert went fine. The Target street date is self imposed for a reset.

Yup, unless they make a new Arcee that has even better proportions and less kibble somehow, T30 is the best match.

Is this figure in wide distribution yet? I'm still waiting on my BBTS pre-order and I'm starting to worry.
