I do not think the Unicron crowdfund will fail, but what of both cookie monster and unicron both fail, will Hasbro finally listen and give Joe a shot? I would like to see a black series based on ARAH line and/or a detailed updated to original Joe from the 60s, new highly accurate modern uniforms on the original or updated 64 body.
Just this custom 6" Snake Eyes & Scarlett Ctto If you check Hasbro Pulse's post on IG days ago with a G.I.Joe Meme, check all the responses on their post. Everyone is clamoring for a 6 inch line.
I think everyone wants a 6 Inch ML style line, and the fact that they haven’t announced anything so far is maddening......maybe a BAF deal for say Golobulus, Nemesis Enforcer, Invaders, Manimals, Cobra Mechs, Sigma Six Style BATs......
If they do 6 Inch GI Joe, should they do BAF like Marvel Legends or should they focus in individual characters first? Should it be solely focused on A Real American Hero/ Resolute, or be for all Eras, from the 60’s Action Service Men, the 70’s Kung Fu Grip/ Super Joes/ Invaders, the Wilderness Years of Sgt Savage/ Extreme of the 90’s, the 00’s Joe Vs Cobra/ Spy Troops/ Valor Vs Venom/ Sigma Six, 10’s of Renegades, like MOTUC or Marvel Legends? Should they do 2 Packs for Tomas/ Xamot, Joe Colton/ GI Jane, Zandar/ Zaranna? Vehicles (nothing too big like the Killer Whale/ Skystriker/ Rattler)?
If they do they'll make an upsized version of the single carded retro style. Think of Marvel Legends Retro series but Joes are inside the pack with loaded accessories. I would like to think Hasbro is thinking a way to sold an entire case to minimize left overs in the shelves and the most logical thing to do it is put BAF like scheme into the figures. Big figures aren't much in the GI JOE mythos. So if they'll really push the BAF system on Joes is make a regular character of unique tooling into BAF pieces. Imagine Serpentor being a BAF. With a 6-inch size BAF pieces I think that's enough to fit them inside a single carded bubble packaging along with weapons and accessories. There! I said it. If Hasbro is reading this and pick it up. Blame me guys.
I think 6” is the only way we see the 80’s RAH again other than a retro collection of the original figures. The majority of the market that wants new 80’s RAH already has the 25th-POC line, so there isn’t a reason to remake that line again in that scale or format unless they completely redesign the figure build. Hasbro has to make a new line of products and 6” is that line.
It seems logical to me that if Hasbro wanted to do 6" figures with a BAF--which, there doesn't seem to be any evidence of so this really is just whistling in the wind--that the BAF components would be peices of one-man vehicles like the Trouble Bubble. Sort of like the Bat Signal or Grapple was done. I remember the Weather Dominator was parted out among multipacks back around 2007 or so, so there's precedent.
Personally, with a 6 inch G.I. Joe line, I'd rather they leave out BAF pieces and use the extra room and money to just giving more military accessories and weapons. Even standard issue items that aren't specific to a certain character would be handy to have for the unit as a whole.
Maybe they'll go back to cardboard playsets like the Sears Cobra missile base, and the one from "Solo" I saw randomly the other day (had no idea they made one).
If they do a 6" figure line and end up doing vehicles also, they need to them small to mid-sized.......... How about the Ram Cycle, Jump set, MMS, Vamp, Polar Battle Bear, Sky Hawk, Awe Striker, Snow Cat, Devilfish, and Triple T for the Joes. And the Claw, Fang, Trouble Bubble, Hiss Tank, Stinger Jeep, Ferret, Thunder Machine, and Air Chariot for Cobra. Anything bigger than the above vehicles and I would probably have to but an addition on my house..........
^It's a good list then..... My point is that I'm a weak individual. If on the outside chance, they made say a 6" scale Whale, or something of that ilk. My kids would magically start sharing bedrooms and daddy would have a second toy room.....
Exactly.... And my marvel legends and black series and motu and turtles and some of the other dumb stuff I collect....
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^This.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ No BAF pieces. Just give us the weapons the characters were known for having in the original scale. Maybe some extras from the cartoon or something like how Masterpiece Transformers include stuff from like one specific scene in one episode kind of stuff.
