Aren't they always? At least 1500 pieces like with the other limited seekers like IF EX-20A Amethyst, IF EX-20G Green and IF EX-20SP Spinel.

 

It could be interpreted to mean there will be 16 color versions of this mold. Including this upcoming teal one and ghost Starscream I think we're sitting at around 11.

My bad, I couldn't remember which was Bitstream and which was Hotlink out of Amethyst and Kallaite. Then Amethyst is Hotlink, not Ion Storm (Ion Storm is supposed to be a different blue than Thundercracker and Bitstream), since Amethyst is purple. But yeah, I wouldn't count Slipstream since she's a different mold.

So I would put the count at:

1) Starscream
2) Ghost Starscream
3) Skywarp
4) Thundercracker
5) Sunstorm
6) Dirge
7) Thrust
8) Ramjet
9) Acid Storm
10) Hotlink
11) Red Wing
12) Bitstream

That leaves Ion Storm, Nova Storm, Nacelle and Sandstorm, which should be all 16 of the original G1 seekers.

Oh, I knew Redwing was limited, as I was worried I wouldn't get him (thankfully I did), but since I got green and purple just fine I didn't realize they were in the same boat.

 

Wasn't sure either so I looked up the cards that came with them and it said limited.

 

So what is the deal with Kallaite? Available in some stores already. But they also said future Shanghai con exclusive? Will it be the same or maybe the con version comes with extra stuff? Or is it just one version released now? Anybody knows for sure?

TCP has Kallaite arriving today according to customer email just received for the pre-order.

Btw, it's infuriating trying to find the thread for that figure so just posting here until someone can find it. None of the following got results , so the thread title must be badly worded or mispelled or just doesn't exist: Kallaite, Kalaite, Kalite, Kallite, Kalitte, Iron Factory EX, Iron Factory EX-20, EX20, EX-20, EX20K, EX20-K, etc etc. No results.

 

So why don't you start a thread for it?

 

I coulda sworn there was a Kallaite thread. But maybe he was just only ever mentioned in the big Iron Factory thread the end of last year/beginning of this year when IF revealed a whole bunch of stuff that was supposed to come out in 2019?

I know Toy Dojo is expecting their copies in soon too, along with Hexwrench, as IF told them they were shipping out together.

 

Yep, looks like Toy Dojo and TCP got both Kallaite and Hexwrench in today, so looks like I got two figures incoming!

 

One thing I like about Kaillite in hand is that they haven't cheaped out on these repaints. There's a nice metallic finish to parts of his chest/torso that's really quite sharp. I should try to grab a photo of the full team tomorrow all lined up.

 

That'll be cool to see! IF really needs to re-issue Starscream (with the extra Ghost torso of course) so I can have a full team too. I mean, they sounded like they were planning 4 more (unless that 16 comment didn't mean anything), so surely they can do another run. There's certainly demand.

But yeah, if they really are doing 16 colors, still curious who that last 4 are (I'm sure they're not counting Slipstream since she's a different mold). Nova Storm, Ion Storm and Nacelle are the only remaining "official" seekers (i.e., ones that have official toys) they haven't done yet, so those for sure. Which leaves 1, but so many options. A proper Slipstream? G2 SS? G2 Ramjet? Go into the unproduced stuff with Sandstorm, Cloud Ramjet (interesting, why was Ramjet the only conehead they tried alternative colors for?), Black Death or Jungle Attack Starscream?

Ebay. I mean, I wouldn't pay $200 for him, but some people would. As said in the post that it was a reply to, demand far outstripped supply. IF's stuff got more popular after the fact. So you got people coming in to this late, who got a taste of the newer figures, and wanted to go back to get the things they missed. So everybody's looking for Wing of Tyrant Red (Starscream) and Armored Tactical Staff (Prowl, Bluestreak, and Smokescreen), but all the copies ever made have been bought. Thus their only hope is someone who decides to sell their own copies off.

I wanna say the last time someone was selling IF Starscream on ebay, they got more than $200. Honestly, its the best time to sell him, because one can definitely sell him for double or triple they paid (well, presuming they paid the original normal price for him) at least. And there's always the chance IF will re-issue, so better to do it before that happens.

 

The only figure, as far as I know, that they have re-issued is Tarn. Have the feeling IF is not into re-issue.

Starscream was the last figure I needed for my IF seeker army. And I wanted the torso for ghost Starscream. Paid more, a lot more but nowhere round $200.

The shoulder pads that where part of the set where both for the left shoulder.  

The same ones with Red Wing (Spinel) don't really match and aren't the movie version.
