I've just gotten on board with the Jurassic World figures - does anyone know of any decent UK stockists? I've been looking for the Original Baryonyx, Dino Rivals Parasaurolophus, and the Mosausaurus but all i get are third party sellers on amazon and ebay, charging crazy amounts including postage.
For 2018 product here, you can still find the stegosaurus, those legacy jeepneys (which seems like the only legacy product we got), the fossil striker things, the trainer and armored Owen, the ripcord motorcycle Owen, and so many of those damn vehicles that have big wheels.... Also last May it seemed the distributor either dug up or got new stock of the roarivores wave with the Triceratops/Ankylosaurus/Ceratosaurus/Pteranodon (yet they still haven't got the 2019 ones yet)
They're pushing reissues of last year's Roarivores here in the US too, I think they did another run--or they massively over-ordered, I know that in this business there's a two-year cycle from making a production decision to product-on-shelf.
Ripcord Things lingering at TRU too, and I've gotten fed up of seeing Trike, Pteranodon and Sinoceratops. They had a sale at the end of July at TRU and somebody cleared out the last few Ankylosaurs, which is annoying because I still haven't seen one since. Just Trike after Trike after Trike. And the Dino Rivals stuff is impossible to find as I said, unless you want Savage Strike Styggy... Nobody seems to care much for that thing. The larger things like the Rex are around. But I'm getting one or two larger items at a time because of that. Fossil Strikers are pretty cool, got most of them now though, am hitting up the third TRU in my city this afternoon to see if I can't nab the fourth. They might have something good too when it comes to Roarivores or Attack Pack because they are in an are of the city most collectors don't bother going to. At least in my opinion, I could be wrong about that.
Well, that TRU I went to was a great idea. First of all I price adjusted all of my recent purchases thanks to a Jurassic World 20% off sale. And then I find Dino Rivals Roarivores Ankylosaurus and Baryonyx, they had Ceratosaurus and Metriacanthosaurus as well, but I can get those repaints some other time and when I figure out how to keep them from toppling over repeatedly. Also found Savage Strikers Tapejara, Dimetrodon and Styracosaurus. A great day. Looking forward to next payday. I am seriously annoyed with Mattel's Dino Rivals collector's cards, why do they give certain Dinos the same numbers? If you're trying to collect a set you don't want two of the number 38 or 17.
I haven't bought enough to notice same numbering (or maybe I need to double check) I just don't like how the cardstock is so damn thin and how they're taped, without protection, to the package. Hasbro's Prime Wars collector cards spoiled me Of course they are just nice bonuses compared to the main thing so I suppose I can't complain much...
What?! (instantly grabs collector cards and a calculator) Oh wow. I honest to god thought they were card numbers!
Speaking of stats, I did a full list on all the dinosaurs available if anyone's interested. Spoiler: By Name Spoiler: By Stats Total
You’re not the first to get duped, but if you check the design of the card as well, you see lines come from all four stats then meet and point to the total in the bottom right. Could’ve been designed better.
Heard some folks got charged for their Hammond preorders from Entertainment Earth. They haven't charged my order yet, but I'll tell you when it happens.
Oh damn... you have the coveted Dino Rivals Extreme Chompin’ Rex, with the card... I want! The tongue got swapped out for that version partway through last year, along with crisper molded detail on the head. Happened to the spino too. My Hammond is expected on Wednesday, cannot wait.
More figures to track down that are difficult to find. Why does Target cancel shit only for it to wind up somewhere else? Stupid Target, don't they want our money? (Or, you know, your money because you live in the States where they are and all that.) Incidentally I've seen that TLW Buck Rex with Junior in person at TRU Canada. So perhaps this means I can find the Brachiosaurus there this holiday season.
Lol is it that rare? I was surprised to see how inexpensive this is, roughly 32 dollars which is the same price as a dual attack, but it's a hell lot bigger. It looks so impressive on my shelf. I know this is the smallest of the three 2018 rexes but it's big enough for me. Hell when my mom saw this the first thing she remarked was that it's so big! That's good to know about the tongue, I much prefer it this way with the tongue laying flat.
This version of the Rex isn’t in the US at all and isn’t even widespread internationally as places are more likely to buy into the Bite ‘n Fight instead. If you ever get an extra, I’d be interested!
