Speaking of Metroplex, he and Devastator was not mentioned with the other Titans

I wonder if a remold is coming in a couple of years. After Skorponoks of course

    A) Fantasy: holy crap that’s really cool...totally worth the money! I can build an entire collection showpiece around it!
    B) Reality: eventually getting sold off in a few years when people run out of room and it just ends up sitting in its box in storage.

"Sure we're only 2400 backers into the 8000 we need, and it's just 18 days to go, but we've still got more surprises waiting!"

Let's go then, no more holding back. It's coming down to the wire, better put all your cards on the table soon. It's been nearly a month since your last big PR push at SDCC, too much radio-silence on this project, and then we get a video that says... not much new. The Sail Barge already had the booklet concept ready to go by this point in its campaign, they were adding another figure to the set and still held back one last figure for the last week.

I guess so. I think that since most of the CHUG line of the past 5 years seems to be geared towards older collectors, Metroplex would carry more weight (no pun intended) than Lugnut, but that might be a perception thing. Again, love the character - just don't know about his impact on the line.

For some people, possibly. I think once you're committing to Unicron, it's more like everything extraneous will go before he will and last I checked this fandom is all about more figures than we ever really need.

The last week will see a huge surge in last minute buyers not wanting to miss out, people who have been saving to afford it and the resale market making orders.

I thought the burnt orange was a little too yellow in earlier shots, but as it turns out, it's fairly on point. The lighting can (and does) really change its vibrancy, as does the contrast from a white background to a black one.

Even when I did this stupid quicky fun little 'shop a few weeks ago, beyond sharpening up some of the detail, I really didn't adjust the yellow/orange too much but it changed quite a bit the second I replaced the white background of the stock image:

Long story short: with all the other minute attention to detail they've given this thing, the burnt orange WILL be correct upon release. I'm not worried at all.

Here’s my prediction on the few surprises

    1. A book. The book will have pictures. The book will tell you the deepest darkest fantasy of John Warden, Kuniharo and Flint Dille.

    2. A coin. The coin that looks like Unicrons head. You can put it in a box for no one to see ever again

    3. A box. A very fancy box. Not fancy enough to display him in, but fancy enough that Hasbro will brag about it.

    4. A Legends class figure.

It would be a small crime if he didn't come with a legends or Micromaster Arblus and Kranix.

I hate to say but this video just confirmed for me that for the price I'm not missing out on anything at all by skipping this. That 3D spinning view at the beginning made me laugh when they spun it REAL fast to avoid showing the back. "signature evil grin!"... The frowning mouth just opens. "Movable eyes!"... which even when they try to show off in a clear video, you can't really tell they moved or where they are looking.

Not saying it's not a cool figure. I'd pay around $200 for the planet mode alone, but I'm still not feeling even the slightest pull at my wallet for over $600.

I think it was at one of the BotCons that I seem to remember someone (maybe it was the club, I don't remember if it was them or Hasbro) saying packaging is not that cheap

    so Unicron in polybags!

Anyone anywhere can purchase through the Haslab site, the catch is they don't deliver worldwide.

Luckily my Sister-in-law lives in the US and is meeting up for a family reunion in mid-2021.
    Everything's coming together

Also I believe any orders will count towards the 8000 target, as they'll all have to be processed through Haslab.

A: Unless you actually have the figure in hand, you don't know that he is mostly hollow boxes.
B: This is a resin copy, with much lower tolerances than the actual production figure will have, so the wiggly loose joints of this figure does not mean the production figure will have the same loose joints as it will be "made of sterner stuff" (Hopefully...) - again, won't know for sure until people actually have it in hand.

Hopefully this things gets backed since I backed this Unicron. But if the hidden features are say have a damages face version with a damage eye that you can reprocate the scenes from the movie as well the head can pop off but I doubt that will happen unless if this can be added during the devlopment.

The video had the opposite intent of really solidifying that I don't want this figure.

Still hope it gets funded for those who want it.

I predict that this thing won't make it. Lots of great engineering clearly went into it, but what they ended up with simply isn't worth the asking price. They either made the thing too big to cost a reasonable amount, or set their margin goals too greedily. Maybe even a little bit of both. But I do not see this going from ~2,500 backers acquired over a month all the way up to 8,000 in 18 days.
