Anyway do you think Hasbro still keeping something to be announced at NYCC?

So I didn't notice it until the review from TheFwoosh, but the scalemail on 80th Cap is a soft plastic overlay. Which kinda explains why the white on the stars always has issues.

Well they made some announcements last year, wouldn't be surprised if they still do. It's either that or Toy Fair next year.

Isn't the new two pack Juggy the same one (plus minor tweaks) as the the BAF?

Yeah it's the same body just molded in new colors. 2 new helmet sculpts, a beat-up head, some alt hands (which are very nice). Oh and it doesn't have the belt around the waist like the old one.

Honestly it's a very nice upgrade for Juggernaut. As a nice bonus.. you don't need to buy an entire wave to complete him.

So I'm quite pleased with 80th Cap except for one thing, which I don't understand why this is so hard for Hasbro to get right, the shield. They've got like 4 different versions of the shield and they chose to go with the worst version of them all, the small one with the stars and stripes painted on (not to mention painted the wrong shade of red too).

So far the best shield has been the one from the Age of Ultron pack that has actual straps on it, the stars and stripes are sculpted into the shield's details, and it is the right size. I don't get why Hasbro didn't repaint THAT shield for 80th Cap.

Or, if they really desired to have the shield be able to be attached to Cap's back, have the shield include a clip that can attach to it to connect it to be backside.

Tiny detail, it looks like they outlined Colossus' eyes. I would have preferred that they just did solid silver. the imperfections can look weird from some angels and I don't think it's something they should expect to come out perfect.

At least two. I seem to recall seeing a third somewhere, but the only pictures I could find were of a classic square-eyed face and a more modern face with angled eyes.

Thank you so much! I was thinking that they said multiple heads. I am all about the classic square eyed look.

Yeah, they absolutely do look different.

That's interesting to know. However, the main issue with the ones I have seen are not with the star on the chest (that was a big issue on the Wolf Cap figure), it's the crooked eyes and "A" on his head. The chest stars I have seen are good except one had a scratch that had nothing to do with alignment. "A"s however are mostly painted very poorly.

I didn't like that the white stripe seemed significantly bigger than the red ones but it doesn't look too bad in person. As for shield mold, I definitely prefer it smooth, without star and stripes molded in for comic style...the shield was not designed for that specific look and there is no reason they would sculpt those lines into it. Using straps would be nice though.

Hit the wallet breaking load today.

Full 80th stock, Uncanny X-Force, G1 cassettes, and even killer croc dc multiverse wave.

I got a Cap just in-case I never see him again, but yeah, not a fan of the deep dark blue MCU-ish color.

Nightcrawler is awesome and Sinister is too.

Had to stop myself with just those marvel characters.

    Seigen

Only thing they didn't have out was 80th IM and G1 Soundwave. Girl said she's got like 8-10 pallets and no one to help in the entire section. Told me to check back Thursday for Soundwave.

Gonzales is good store though, It's a bit too far for me, but do make the occasional trip if Prairieville is dry.

Maybe the "third head" I saw was the modern head in the classic hood, or vice versa. Because chances are they're separate pieces like Spider-Gwen and Homemade Suit Spider-Man.

Got Iron Man yesterday from Hasbro Pulse, today got Thor and the Colossus vs Juggernaut set from Hasbro Pulse! Hopefully I'll be able to pick up 80th Captain America from Walmart tomorrow.

In some ways I prefer the X-Men Marvel Legends BAF Juggernaut (on the right) because of the face sculpt, visible pupils, more detailed helmet and belt. The new one is still nice though, especially with the extra head, damaged helmet and alternate set of grasping hands
