Eh, I think the price is still a bit steep for a 6 to 7 inch figure, but taking certain things into consideration (smaller company and likely smaller production runs) I get it. MOTU Classics has always been more expensive than the average figure too (though not to this extent until S7 took over). I'm interested though I kind of was hoping to see more than just the first wave minus a couple figures in their first line up. Still, sounds like they've already got a bunch of figures in the works so maybe they'll show them off at the next convention they're at? Either way I'm down for these, but I'll be passing on this version of Mum-Ra. No interest in anything but an "Ever Living" version. I'm still waiting on their Ninja Turtles personally as I prefer the toy style over the comic style.

As an aside I'm not sure what Marvel Legends you guys are talking about... outside of Iceman I don't have any figures with gummy joints and the problem with Iceman seems to be the clear plastic (though this isn't an issue on my Walgreens Human Torch).

Glad to hear they've got more planned. Their announcement didn't make it too clear that these were just "Ultimate" releases like they did with MOTU. I'm in! :buttrock

I may have to backtrack and pick up Wikykit & Wilykat again. I'm really just wanting a solid season 1 cast; don't remember many of the mutants or Thundercats from later seasons.

Yeah, I'm in. I don't think I'll try to do a full collection, though: just get the S1 Thundercats and maybe Mumm-Ra (the big "Everliving" version) and Grune if they make him. Don't think I need the rest of the villains.

I wish Savage World would just finish theirs with wave 2.

Super 7's look great and are superior figures, but I think I like the variety of scale/style. And they are cheaper...

These look great. Way too pricey for me to pay for Thundercats though. I liked the cartoon as a kid but not that much...mostly a filler show while I waited for stuff like Macr, I mean Robotech, Dungeons & Dragons, GI Joe, Transformers, etc...

Well you have Slythe, Monkian, Jackelman and Vultureman. The later Tcats were Lynxo, Pumyra and Bengali. I would love to see Mandora the evil chaser with her space bike.

To be fair with Super 7, it captures the cartoon vibe. But I'm not paying for that much. But we'll see.
I have too much on my plate now.

The Ultimates from S7 might push the prices down on the Matty T-Cats. Might be a good opportunity to get in at a lower price-point. Maybe...

The price isn't bad considering it's just a small time dude who's probably getting butt-raped with licensing fees.

I feel like I got to support this. He's doing what bigger companies fear to do.

Yeah, those are the 4 mutants I remember, and the ones I would want. I thought there was some other bad guy group introduced in later seasons, but can't remember them, so any of those will be optional for me. Those later Thunderians are also optional for me.

We should get an Ever-Living Mumm-ra with Ma-Mutt too. And wasn't there some female Mumm-something?

I get the price and if I were a big enough fan of Thundercats I’d have no problem with it. I just can’t see myself spending around $500 or more to get the team plus some baddies. Same for TMNT, MOTU and some other stuff along those lines. Mega Construx would be the perfect platform for these properties (plus GI Joe) for me but as anyone who has read the MC thread, they are shit as far as distribution.

I wonder if the tariff delay will bring the price down, lol.

Already have the Mattel Thundercats Classics but went ahead and preordered all 4 Super7 Thundercats and old man Mummra from BBTS. I really want the line to succeed so that we can get future figures as well as a Thunder tank possibly!

I pre-ordered Lion-O. I hope we get everyone and hope we even get the 2011 versions of them.

Because Super7 is using tooling that's already paid for and blaming a 10% tariff for an 80% price hike. How much more is it going to be when Bryan has to pay for new sculpts and tooling?

Well this money is most likely going into that. Look we haven’t had a successful T-Cats line. If this was Marvel or a popular brand we would have had it a while ago. Bottom line is it’s a niche line with an aging demographic. If you want something complete, something with Grune for instance, it’s going to cost us. If that means subbing and paying 2x a Marvel Legends for a heavier figure with better paint apps (I hope$ and a more expansive collection then I can live with it.
