maybe you should take a step back and revisit this thread closer to the end of the campaign? ranting about anything at this point is useless.

 

Nobodys complaining about the concept of crowd funding. People are complaining about the fact that the "crowds" from outside of North America have literally been banned from showing their support as fans. They must have hired Arron Archer to set the numbers. I hear he is real good at getting crowd funders to succeed.

 

Just a question, do you really believe the things you are posting?

 

Where are you pulling your information from? Hasbro's site states the number of backers needed is 8000. Nowhere do they state this is North America only: This campaign will move into production when it reaches its minimum goal of 8,000 backers.

The TT Japan and China sites both clearly state the 8000 is a worldwide number.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but rather find the source of your information.

 

Where have you been ? The news staff on both this site and Seibertron clearly state that the worldwide numbers DO NOT count towards the 8000. If the US and Canada cant produce 8000 on their own, Unicron doesnt get produced and all overseas pre-orders get cancelled. If you have proof of anything different, please post the link and also kindly share it with the news staff. Thanks in advance.

I don’t think it’s absurd at all. Over 3000 people attend TFCON. Those are super fans. The ones who will spend on these big ticket items and some will probably buy multiples. Then there are those like me that have never attended a con and am buying 2. You are underestimating the fandom. Also 8000 is the total goal. You will see.

It was also just a thirty minute toy ad with little effort to maintain a story or continuity between episodes. Really, I think Bay's efforts were spot on if you filter out the sex jokes.

 

So according to that link, it seems we will be getting a few bonus items and the design is not 100% so there is an opportunity to work on the kibble pieces that folks seem to be upset over. I still think that they could add some electronics especially if it goes over 8000 but at the end of the day I am happy to see a transformer that I have always wanted to have.

Yeah, revealing what these 'other surprises' are is a little overdue. I would have thought a trickle out reveal each week would have helped maintain a more constant flow of pledges.

 

I really don't see this "kibble" people complain of. There's a backpack and panels on the legs, sure, but there's nothing there to complain of.

I mean:

 

At this point, they cant change the engineering because (as warden stated in an interview) if they changed the slightest thing, they had to resize and change a bunch of other panels around that small thing. So the kibble is here to stay, but the extra few surprises have me interested.
